The 2026 Wimbledon Championships concluded with a captivating men’s singles final between Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev on Sunday. Ultimately, it was the Italian who prevailed and successfully defended his Wimbledon title. He came from behind to win 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4.
How Much Prize Money Will Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev Earn at the Wimbledon Championships?
The men’s singles tournament at the 2026 Wimbledon Championships lived up to the billing as fans were treated to thrilling matches, shocking upsets, and some incredible tennis over the last two weeks.
Arthur Fery gave the British tennis crowd at Wimbledon plenty to cheer for with his Cinderella run to the semifinals. Novak Djokovic showed that he can still compete at the top level at age 39, while Ben Shelton, Casper Ruud, and Daniil Medvedev were all sent packing early on in the tournament.
Sinner and Zverev faced off in the final, with the former emerging victorious. The top two seeds will receive a large chunk of the tournament’s overall prize money purse of £64,200,000 (US$86 million).
For winning the 2026 Wimbledon Championships men’s singles title, Sinner will receive £3,600,000 (US$4.8 million). As the beaten finalist, Zverev will get £1,800,000 (US$2.4 million) in total prize money from the Grand Slam.
For making the Wimbledon men’s singles semifinals, Fery and Djokovic will both receive £900,000 (US$1.2 million) in prize money. Meanwhile, quarterfinalists Félix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Flavio Cobolli, and Jan-Lennard Struff will all make £480,000 (US$643,000).
In addition to the prize money, Sinner has successfully defended 2000 ranking points for winning the men’s singles title at the Wimbledon Championships. As the runner-up, Zverev will get 1300 points when the rankings are updated on Monday.
Sinner arrived at Wimbledon with some uncertainty surrounding his form after an early exit at the French Open. He was also taken to five sets in his opening match against Miomir Kecmanović. But as has often been the case for the 24-year-old this season, he improved as the tournament went on.
Straight-set wins over Jenson Brooksby and Shintaro Mochizuki helped Sinner make yet another Grand Slam quarterfinal before he breezed past Jan-Lennard Struff to set up a blockbuster clash against Djokovic.
Sinner delivered a masterful performance to stop the 24-time Grand Slam champion, then continued his remarkable streak against Sinner and successfully defended his Wimbledon title.

With the grass-court swing in the books, the ATP Tour will now start its build-up for the final Grand Slam of the year. The Citi DC Open will get the action underway later this month, before focus shifts to the Canadian Open and the Cincinnati Open. The US Open will take place from August 30 to September 13.
