Dianna Russini’s alleged relationship with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has remained one of the NFL offseason’s biggest talking points. Because of that fallout, Russini stepped away from The Athletic on April 14 and largely disappeared from public view.
However, she was recently seen in public on Independence Day during a family vacation with her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, and their two sons.

Page Six shared the video showing the family spending July 4 aboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, where they relaxed around the cruise ship’s pool deck.
She wore a green one-piece swimsuit and celebrated alongside her family during the festivities. She was also spotted dancing to Katy Perry’s “Firework” while holding one of her sons.
According to Page Six, it’s a seven-day cruise trip, and several relatives also joined the vacation, turning the Independence Day getaway into a larger family celebration.

One eyewitness told Page Six that “They [Russini and her husband] seemed to be engaged with one another. They were very family oriented with their kids. They took the kids to the Splash Pad together and were laughing at the pool.”
However, while she is on holiday, her professional situation has become more complicated in recent days.

Last week, newly released police bodycam footage from a traffic stop in New Jersey challenged a story she had previously shared during a podcast appearance, creating another wave of scrutiny.
In a New York Times profile last month, it was revealed that during a podcast appearance, Russini said police stopped her for texting while driving. She claimed she avoided receiving a citation after FaceTiming an NFL head coach, who personally spoke with the officer and vouched for her character during the stop.
However, the bodycam footage tells a different story. The video does not show any FaceTime call taking place during the traffic stop. Instead, it captures Russini identifying herself as a well-known national NFL reporter before showing the officer a text message exchange with Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell.

Because of that, many called her out and questioned her credibility.
On the other hand, Vrabel has largely avoided public pressure. When the allegations first surfaced, Vrabel stayed focused on his family and football.
Even after Page Six released photos in April showing him hugging and holding hands with Russini at an adults-only resort in Sedona, Ariz., he kept a low profile.
Both initially played down the significance of those images, yet additional reports kept the story alive. Page Six later published photos that allegedly showed Vrabel and Russini kissing at a New York City bar in 2020.
Soon after, TMZ released video from June 2021 that appeared to show the pair together at the dock of a private boat rental company in Putnam County, Tenn., while Russini was pregnant with her first child.
Amid that controversy, Vrabel skipped the third day of the 2026 NFL Draft to attend counseling sessions with his family. Because of it, his relationship with his wife, Jen, appears to have remained intact.
On Friday, the couple attended Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden. Both appeared relaxed and in good spirits before the celebration.
In a video shared by Page Six, Vrabel wore a tuxedo while Jen arrived in a blue dress as they made their way toward the venue.
But while both Russini and Vrabel are spending time with their families, the controversy continues to generate questions with no clear end in sight.
