Tom Brady currently serves as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders in addition to his broadcasting job with Fox Sports. The NFL legend was in unfamiliar territory with his new team as they ended the campaign with a 3-14 record last season. He put the entire franchise on blast when he recently discussed their struggles and identified who is to blame.
Tom Brady Calls Out Entire Raiders Franchise After Disastrous Season
Brady was the ultimate winner in his playing career, the best quarterback in NFL history. This includes setting all-time records in total wins and Super Bowl victories, among many other categories that he conquered during his iconic run.
This may have made it even more difficult to be a part of the Raiders’ ownership last season because he has never been associated with an NFL team with such a poor record. They won just three games, which led to parting ways with head coach Pete Carroll, but he explained that the head coach was not the only one to blame.
“Last year, we just underperformed in every area, and it’s everybody’s fault,” Brady said. “That’s the reality. There’s nobody who did a good job. There’s not one player in the organization, there’s not anybody involved that did the job to the level that it needs to be done at. And everybody needs to improve. And it starts with me, and it filters down to the rest of the players on the field, and they’ve got to go out there, and ultimately they’ve got to perform at a high level.”
The former quarterback-turned-owner and broadcaster started by himself and elaborated, saying that everyone associated with the Raiders needs to do a better job, including players and coaches. The franchise took massive strides to change their staff and roster during the offseason as they look to get things headed in the right direction again.

“Now the problem’s the offseason, you change players, you change coaches, and now you’ve got to rebuild to where you were,” he added. “Like, a lot of the teams I played on, the best game we played all season was the last game of the year. That says to me a lot about what the team’s all about.”
In addition to replacing Carroll with Klint Kubiak as head coach, they added two quarterbacks as their focus shifted to the franchise’s future. Geno Smith was their starter last year, but after finishing just 34th in PFSN’s QB Impact Rankings, they moved on from him after just one season.

Smith is now with the New York Jets, and the Raiders replaced him by using their first-overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to select Fernando Mendoza and signing Kirk Cousins in free agency.
Cousins is expected to start the season, but there’s a high possibility that Mendoza will play some games in his rookie season.
