The Indiana Fever offense did not stall out without Caitlin Clark on Saturday night. Indiana made use of its depth to beat the Los Angeles Sparks 111-87.
Kelsey Mitchell took over the primary scoring load, dropping 26 points and keeping the home crowd energized. Amid the win, Bree Hall quietly stole the spotlight for those paying close attention to the end of the bench.

With the Fever up 30 in the third quarter, Hall got her chance. In 10 minutes of action, she made the most of her opportunity and buried a three-pointer to register her first points of the season.
She finished with 5 points and a rebound, going 2-for-5 from the floor.
Though a modest stat line, it was an important milestone for someone who was waived before her rookie season even began. The Fever originally selected Hall with the 20th overall pick in the 2025 Draft before waiving her in early May.
She spent time with the expansion Golden State Valkyries and played in Athletes Unlimited before clawing her way back to Indianapolis.
Hall’s cameo on the court also caught the attention of South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley, who celebrated Hall’s performance.

Hall was a vital piece of the South Carolina dynasty under Staley and helped the Gamecocks secure NCAA national championships in 2022 and 2024.
Over her four-year college career, Hall appeared in 146 games and grew into a permanent starter by her junior season. She averaged 5.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in college while shooting 37% from beyond the arc.
The extended minutes for the second unit were only possible because Indiana head coach Stephanie White opted to rest Clark. The star point guard left with a back injury during a physical matchup against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday.
Los Angeles struggled to keep pace with the Fever all night. The Sparks lacked perimeter containment and allowed Indiana to shoot comfortably from deep.
Nneka Ogwumike (17 points) and Dearica Hamby (15 points) tried to shoulder the offensive burden in the frontcourt but lacked the support to match Indiana’s scoring possession for possession.
After this bounce-back win against the Sparks, Indiana faces the Las Vegas Aces next week; the competition will be steeper.
The Aces boast a 13-5 record and feature one of the most potent offenses in the league.
