Where Could Brandin Cooks Land?

One major factor in Cooks’ remaining unsigned is his age. He is 32 years old, which is pretty old for a receiver in the NFL. Another reason is Cooks’ lack of production, especially over the last two seasons.

Cooks had only 24 catches and 279 yards during the 2025 season, split between the Saints and the Buffalo Bills. It wasn’t like the veteran wideout was in a bad situation, since he was playing with Josh Allen, one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. As well as his play caller, Joe Brady, who was promoted to the Bills’ head coach this offseason.

In 2024, Cooks got a D grade and ranked 96th according to PFSN’s Wide Receiver Impact Metric. In 2025, he got a C- grade and ranked 68th. So, his poor production while playing in a good situation has affected his chances of getting signed.

However, there are some teams Cooks could join, and one of them is the Arizona Cardinals. He could prove to be a great mentor for wideout Marvin Harrison Jr., who will be going into his third season.

Harrison Jr. has had some solid moments during his first two years, but he has not lived up to the hype he had coming out of Ohio State. During his first two seasons, Harrison Jr. got a C grade for both years and ranked 49th in 2025 and 62nd in 2024, according to PFSN’s WR Impact Metric.

So, Cooks could help Harrison Jr. reach his potential. Additionally, with the Cardinals undergoing a bit of an overhaul, hiring 39-year-old Mike LaFleur as their head coach, the wideout could bring some good veteran leadership.

Cooks could also reunite with the Rams, whom he played for in 2018 and 2019. Even though the Rams have PFSN’s number one graded wide receiver, Puka Nacua, who got an A+ grade, as well as Davante Adams, who had 14 touchdowns last year, they could use another wideout. Many were stunned that the Rams did not draft a wide receiver high in the draft.

Cooks and Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford could form a formidable veteran connection. Stafford is coming off an MVP season, and with Cooks being in the league since 2014, the two could connect on some complex routes that leave defenses dazzled.

On the topic of NFC contenders, the Philadelphia Eagles are a team that could sweep under the radar. The Eagles are going through a transition at the wide receiver position as they traded away A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots. They also brought in Marquise Brown and Elijah Moore, which shows the Eagles like bringing in veteran wideouts.

Overall, even though Cooks’ production is not what it used to be, there are still some good teams that he could land on to rebound his career.
