Justin Herbert and Madison Beer became one of the most popular couples in the NFL during the 2025 season. The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback and the superstar singer started dating around the start of the previous season, and in recent months, we have seen a previously unknown side of Herbert’s personal life.
Madison Beer Reveals Location of First Date With Justin Herbert
Herbert is known for having a shy personality, often avoiding the spotlight when he’s away from the field. But things have changed since he and Beer started their relationship, with the quarterback even starring in one of her recent music videos.
According to reports, their special relationship has been close for almost a year. While most of the details remain private, she revealed a few specifics on how it started.
“When I’m having a convo with my boyfriend, my hair could be on fire, and I wouldn’t notice,” Beer said. “And to be honest with you, he’s the first person I’ve ever felt that way about… Like, the world can be ending around me, and I wouldn’t know.”

“I think that I also am at a point in my life where I’m like, ‘What do I really want for my future? Do I want to just like (expletive) around forever?’ Like, no, I don’t. I know what I want. And I feel like that was also really big with us meeting. Like it felt like he was, I don’t know, like he just came into my life at, like, the perfect time.”

When asked about where their first date was, Beer answered, “Dude, literally at my house because we were just, like, scared to go in public. We were nervous.”
Herbert recently skipped a few OTA practices to attend Beer’s concerts in her current tour, a move that didn’t sit well with a few NFL analysts. Nevertheless, the quarterback has all the freedom to enjoy time with his partner before the true grind of the NFL starts.

Herbert will play under a different offensive scheme in 2026. Mike McDaniel took over as the offensive coordinator in Los Angeles, with Greg Roman moving to the New York Giants in a different role. McDaniel built one of the league’s most explosive offenses in Miami and hopes to do the same with the Chargers.
Herbert posted a 79.4 impact score in 2025 per our PFSN QB Impact Metric, ranking 11th in the league. In 2026, the hope will be for the quarterback to get over the hump and finally win a playoff game in his career.
