Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese met again on Saturday, the latest chapter in their storied rivalry. Clark and the Indiana Fever, who lost 108-101 on Thursday, suffered a lopsided 113-96 defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Dream in the rematch.
The two WNBA stars put on a good show on their way to the record books. Both have consistently rewritten history, a trend that continued at their eighth league meeting.
How Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese Rewrote WNBA History in the Dream’s Victory Over the Fever
Clark and Co. held a 37-30 first-quarter lead before the home team steadily took control of the game.
The Fever point guard tried to rally her team to a come-from-behind win but fell short. She ended the night with 26 points on 11-for-18 shooting, including 3-for-7 from deep, with 7 assists and 3 rebounds.
Real App shared on X after the game that Clark now has five straight games with at least 20 points and 5 assists, tying the WNBA record. The two-time All-Star had the same stretch last month and in 2024.
Kelsey Plum (2025), Arike Ogunbowale (2019), and Cappie Pondexter (2008) are the other three players to accomplish the same feat.

Clark can move ahead of everybody if she has at least another 20-point and 5-assist performance when the Fever host the Phoenix Mercury on Monday.
Meanwhile, Reese continued her torrid pace toward the most impressive rebounding records in WNBA history.
On May 29th against the Portland Fire, she hauled her 900th rebound in 71 games, the fastest in league history. She finished that night with 18 points and 12 rebounds to help the Dream to an 86-66 win.
Eight games later, the 6-foot-4 forward pushed her totals to even greater heights. With 4:29 left in the third quarter, she grabbed an offensive rebound, the 1,000th of her career.
The Dream All-Star played 10 fewer games to reach the historic tally, outpacing Tina Charles’ 89. The Dream social media team promptly highlighted Reese’s accomplishment after the win.
Following her 6th rebound of the night, the 2x All-Star Angel Reese has recorded her 1000th career rebound. More importantly for Reese and her team, they improved to 2-1 in the season series against the Fever. After losing 83-71 in the first Fever-Dream showdown early this month, Atlanta has shut out Indiana.
The victory against Clark improved Reese’s head-to-head record in the WNBA against her rival to 3-5. Reese is now 7-6 in overall career games against Clark since their collegiate days.
Clark and Reese will meet again before the season ends, facing each other once more on Aug. 16 in Atlanta.
