‘That’s Some Bulls**t’ — Super Bowl Champion Rips Abdul Carter For Publicly Calling Out Jaxson Dart Over Donald Trump

LeSean McCoy didn't like Abdul Carter's decision of publicly calling out Jaxson Dart over Donald Trump’s political rally appearance.

Abdul Carter’s single post sparked a firestorm inside the New York Giants locker room. On Saturday, May 23, the day after teammate Jaxson Dart appeared at a rally in Suffern, New York, to introduce President Donald Trump, the 22-year-old Carter took to social media to question the young quarterback’s decision behind this high-profile support.

Though his post on X is deleted, it read, “Thought this s**t was AI, what we doing man,” which immediately placed the two 2025 first-round draft picks at the center of a firestorm. The bifurcated view of the current president created a level of political unrest that further intensified the situation. While both of them have solved the matter privately, Carter’s way of calling out his teammate over political beliefs didn’t sit right with one former NFL player.

LeSean McCoy Blasts Abdul Carter for Dragging Jaxson Dart into Public Political Drama

Two-time Super Bowl champion, LeSean “Shady” McCoy, in a recent segment on the “Speakeasy” show, called out Carter for publicly going against Dart, and made it clear that the bond between teammates should remain unaffected regardless of individual political beliefs.

“Bro, this is America, dude, you are entitled to your own opinion,” McCoy said. “But my problem is, we are teammates. You act like I did something wrong or I broke some law… Why are you acting like I’m doing something wrong, though? I don’t like that part.”

“I ain’t about to get mad at my teammate because you might have voted for Trump or you supporting him. What are we talking about?” he continued. “You can vote for whoever you wanna vote for… Young Carter, I respect him, I like his game, and I like how he speaks what’s on his mind. But on the same thing with Jaxson Dart, you ain’t gotta apologize like you’re wrong.”

“You don’t gotta apologize because somebody on your team didn’t like it,” McCoy added. “That’s some bulls**t.”

Selected third overall in 2025, Carter put up a strong rookie season as he recorded 43 total tackles (25 solo), 4.0 sacks, and 23 quarterback hits across 17 games. Dart, selected 25th in the same draft, finished his rookie campaign starting 12 games, throwing for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns, along with 487 rushing yards and 9 rushing touchdowns.

According to PFSN’s QB Impact Metric, Dart posted an impact score of 76.3, ranking 18th in the league. While Carter posted an 84.1 impact score as per PFSN’s EDGE Impact Metric.

Potential locker room tension could derail the franchise’s aspirations for the upcoming season, as the team will heavily rely upon the connection and chemistry between these two sophomores on the field.

So a team meeting was arranged to address the negativity and work toward a single dream: bringing the trophy to New York. Though Carter remained absent from the meeting due to Eid al-Adha, the team has decided to “ignore outside noise.”

With a unified front, the Giants are looking to redeem themselves after a disappointing 2025 season that ended in a major staff sweep and a 4-13 record, placing last in the NFC East.
