Myles Garrett Contract, Salary, Net Worth: How Much Will the Rams Pay the DPOY After Blockbuster Trade?

After the blockbuster trade, the Los Angeles Rams continue their all-in summer with Myles Garrett now joining the roster.

The NFL was hit with one of the most shocking trades in recent memory. After the Dallas Cowboys traded Micah Parsons last season, the Cleveland Browns have taken the crown for the biggest edge rusher move in recent memory.

Parting ways with two-time Defensive Player of the Year, Myles Garrett, right after he set the all-time sack record in a season, to the Los Angeles Rams has made the latter an instantaneous contender. But it also makes them an extremely expensive team as they take on his massive contract.

What Is Myles Garrett’s Contract?

In recent years, the edge rusher position has become among the most valuable in the entire sport. That has reflected in the salary market as well, with their numbers falling just a tick behind the quarterback spot.

Garrett was among the first to break through that mold. After repeated disappointments with the Browns, he asked for a trade in the 2025 offseason. However, Cleveland held on until the last moment.

Instead, a historic contract was enough to keep him with the team, setting up a legendary season from the two-time DPOY. He signed a four-year, $160 million contract averaging $40 million per year, the highest for a non-quarterback at the time.

For the Rams, that number is going to be a big one after they gave Trent McDuffie an extension, as well as because of the offensive firepower they have on the roster. But with Matthew Stafford inching ever closer to retirement, it seems like the organization is willing to pull out all the stops for one last hurrah.

What Is Myles Garrett’s Salary?

The murmurs of a potential trade were starting to heat up throughout the summer. After his initial contract, the Browns orchestrated a restructure this spring, which coincided with their appeal to increase the number of years that draft picks could be traded

It was easy to put two and two together and anticipate a potential move. But when no deal came through before the 2026 NFL Draft, it seemed like the Browns might not be parting ways with one of the best players in the league.

Unfortunately, that turned out to be a red herring, as they got Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, and additional draft compensation for the superstar defender. But for Los Angeles, their all-in mentality is getting more expensive by the minute.

Garrett is slated to earn a base salary of $1,300,000 and a signing bonus of $29,200,000 in 2026. That will carry a cap hit of $23,474,000 and an insane dead cap value of $113,494,100, unless the Rams restructure the deal once again.

What Is Myles Garrett’s Net Worth?

Nine years into his NFL career, Garrett is among the most popular players in the league. A constantly game-wrecking presence on the defensive line, he instantly helps a Rams defense that was top-five in the league last season, according to PFSN’s Defense Impact Metric.

However, over the second half of the year, and the postseason in particular, their production trailed off, as they gave up 17 or more points in all but one game from Week 10 onwards. As a result, Garrett can help stabilize that unit and take the team to the next level.

His popularity, though, should also generate buzz among the fan base. Aside from his career earnings, which through the 2026 NFL season will total $151,573,009, Garrett is also extremely popular for endorsements and brand affiliations.

As a result, he has already amassed a net worth of nearly $60 million. That reflects his earnings in the league, as well as through his deals with Reebok, Bose, and Panini America.
