‘Makes Sense’ — NFL Insider Floats Possibility of Rams Signing 4-Time Pro Bowl WR Amid Growing Puka Nacua Concerns

The Rams have a loaded team, but NFL insider Tom Pelissero believes Los Angeles could still pursue Stefon Diggs to bolster their stacked roster.

NFL teams have begun OTAs as they prepare for the 2026 season, but there are still some notable veterans who remain available.

One intriguing unsigned free agent is Stefon Diggs. Now, an NFL insider is linking Diggs to the Los Angeles Rams, which is scary considering LA already has an absolutely loaded roster.

NFL Insider Tom Pelissero Predicts Stefon Diggs Could Sign With Rams

Los Angeles has a loaded roster on both sides of the ball, which is why the Rams are a favorite to win the Super Bowl entering this season.

However, NFL insider Tom Pelissero believes the Rams may not be done adding talent to their loaded team. Appearing on “The Rich Eisen Show,” Pelissero gave his take on some of the top players who are still on the market, namely Stefon Diggs, Deebo Samuel Sr., Tyreek Hill, and Keenan Allen.

Zeroing in on Diggs, Pelissero mentioned that the veteran wide receiver could possibly land with the Rams.

“There are other [landing spots] without young quarterbacks,” he said. “The Rams, we talked about that too, the fact that they told Davante Adams that they might trade him because they were close to getting an A.J. Brown deal done, until they pulled the plug on that. Puka Nacua has had a lot going on this offseason. He’s back with the team. Diggs to the Rams makes sense. Diggs has a bigger market [than Deebo Samuel Sr.].”

Nacua has had some off-field trouble this offseason. A woman reportedly filed a lawsuit against the receiver after claiming he bit her at a New Year’s Eve event. Nacua’s attorney denied the allegations, saying it was all just “horseplay.”

However, the wideout entered rehab in March, but he is still an integral part of the Rams’ future.

With that said, if things were to go south with his situation, having a veteran like Diggs on hand could be crucial. Even if the Rams keep both Adams and Nacua, adding Diggs as the team’s WR3 could make Los Angeles’ offense even scarier. The four-time Pro Bowler would undoubtedly be of value in Sean McVay’s system. Last year, Diggs posted an 87.0 PFSN WR Impact Score, which ranked fourth in the NFL.

Diggs’ off-field issues are the main concern as he tries to find his new team, but the Rams have plenty of veterans and strong leadership.

With Matthew Stafford nearing the end of his NFL career, the Rams are trying to load up and give him a chance to win one more Super Bowl before he retires. Taking a shot on a receiver like Diggs could be an excellent way to further bolster an already stacked roster.
