The on-and-off saga between Cardi B and Stefon Diggs has had everyone’s attention for quite some time. After breaking up in February around the Super Bowl, reports of the two mending fences surfaced earlier this month.
However, an ugly spat in public signaled potential trouble in paradise. But the superstar artist took to social media to clear up any confusion.
Cardi B Downplays Argument With Stefon Diggs
After reports that the two were dating began circulating as early as October 2024, they confirmed their relationship on June 1. Since then, the two have been virtually inseparable, as they’ve also welcomed a baby boy, Cardi’s fourth child and Diggs’ third.
Currently a free agent, there were a lot of discussions about Diggs’ relationship becoming a distraction for the New England Patriots last season. However, it turned out to be a rousing success as the franchise made its way to the Super Bowl.
Unfortunately, Diggs was released after, despite having initially signed a three-year, $63.5 million deal. He proved to be well worth the money, tallying 1,013 receiving yards and four touchdowns, finishing as the fourth-best wideout in the league, according to PFSN’s WR Impact Metric.
He was a force to be reckoned with during their run to the Super Bowl as well, as he added 110 receiving yards and a touchdown in the postseason. But the summer hasn’t been very kind to him.
At the recent Mother’s Day event held by the Diggs Deep Foundation, it seemed the two had mended fences, appearing together and greeting people.
Unfortunately, the reunion might not have lasted too long. A viral clip of the two arguing for over 10 minutes outside a coffee shop and a gym seemed to indicate that something wasn’t right between them.
However, the Grammy Award winner took to social media to quieten the situation. “Sometimes I forget I’m a celebrity… damn y’all ain’t never cuss your babydad out when you hungry?”

For the time being, it looks like their quarrel wasn’t anything to write home about. But a topsy-turvy offseason doesn’t seem to be settling down anytime soon for Diggs. Still a free agent, the four-time Pro Bowler has yet to find a new home in the NFL.
It remains to be seen what the next step is for one of the most productive wide receivers of the last decade.
