Jannik Sinner Dives Into Pool With $42,700 Rolex, Fear in His Eyes, and Carlos Alcaraz Watching

Jannik Sinner did the celebratory dive into a pool after winning the Monte-Carlo Masters as rival Carlos Alcaraz watched on.

Jannik Sinner made quite the splash at the 2026 Monte-Carlo Masters as he won the title for the first time in his career by defeating Carlos Alcaraz 7-6(5), 6-3 in the final. He also secured the world No. 1 ranking with the win.

The Italian celebrated his triumph at the ATP Masters 1000 event with a dive into the pool, while his arch-rival keenly watched on.

Jannik Sinner Celebrates Monte-Carlo Masters Title With a Dive

After winning the Monte-Carlo Masters and receiving his trophy, Sinner took part in some of the tournament’s best-known traditions. He celebrated with the ball kids and also did a celebratory dive into the pool.

Sinner was seen wearing his Rolex watch during his dive. He is sponsored by the luxury watch brand and has previously been spotted wearing the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, which costs US$42,700.

Before the dive, Sinner was seen asking his coach, Simone Vagnozzi, how high the diving board was and whether he should jump headfirst. The Italian appeared terrified and was hesitant about the jump. Ultimately, he landed feet first in the water.

Alcaraz, who did the traditional celebratory dive last year after winning the Monte-Carlo Masters, watched on from a distance this time around as Sinner did his dive.

After a disappointing Australian Open campaign by his high standards, Sinner has finally found his form. He won the Sunshine Swing (BNP Paribas Open and Miami Open) without dropping a set and also dominated proceedings in Monte-Carlo.

Sinner has now won the last four ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, dropping just one set in the process. He will be eager to continue his dominant streak heading into the French Open, aiming to win at Roland Garros for the first time in his career.

After the disappointment of losing in the Monte-Carlo Masters final, Alcaraz will quickly turn his attention to the Barcelona Open, where he will hope to regain the world No. 1 ranking. Alcaraz had his chances in the Monte-Carlo final as he went a break up in both sets but failed to make the advantage count.
