This is Macháč’s biggest win this year, and he will enter the contest against Sinner riding high on confidence.

Sinner, 24, is heavily favored to beat Macháč in the third round and progress through to the next round. His return depth, backhand stability, and better movement on clay make him likely to control rallies and limit Macháč’s chances from the baseline.
