Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai, has expressed her support for world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka ahead of the Miami Open final against fourth-seeded Coco Gauff. The Belarusian has delivered impressive performances to reach the title match following her Indian Wells Open victory, which she clinched after defeating Elena Rybakina.
Kai Trump Shows Support for Sabalenka Before Miami Open Final
Sabalenka entered Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, as the top seed and defeated Ann Li in the round of 64, Caty McNally in the round of 32, and then Naomi Osaka in the round of 16. In the quarterfinal, she defeated Hailey Baptiste before beating Rybakina in the semifinal in straight sets.
The world No. 1 is once again showing her dominance after winning the Indian Wells title and is set to clash against the elite American, Gauff, in the final of the WTA 1000 Miami Open. This marks a significant opportunity for Sabalenka to complete the Sunshine Double.

Apart from receiving support from her team and Georgios Frangoulis, who proposed to the WTA star this month, Sabalenka has also received support from Kai Trump, the eldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Haydon.
In her Instagram story, Trump shared, “Had so much fun watching @arynasabalenka let’s get it Saturday👊,” to which the four-time Major champion expressed, “💪💪💪🤞🙏.”
Sabalenka’s coach, Jason Stacy, shared the message, which was later shared by Trump: “Just a casual Thurs meeting these legends…@kaitrumpgolfer @allankournikova #miamiopen #WTA INTO THE FINALS!!! @arynasabalenka”
Ahead of her final, Sabalenka expressed her excitement at facing Gauff and acknowledged how the American has found her form and confidence.
“It couldn’t be a better final,” Sabalenka said. “I feel happy for her that she’s finding her tennis back, and I’m excited to play her on her, maybe not the best level right now, but her trying and (getting) back on the best level. It’s always a fight.”
Reflecting on their history, Gauff also shared her perspective. “We played – I think it was WTA Finals – and I started that match off great. At the end of day, I just felt like I was entering that tournament maybe a little bit low in confidence, and I just didn’t trust my shots in that moment.”

Gauff continued to highlight her admiration for Sabalenka and anticipated that their final would be exciting. “We’ve played so many matches, and it’s physical when I play her every time, it’s going to be tough,” Gauff added. “And she’s playing great tennis. She’s definitely world No. 1 for a reason, and it’s going to be a great challenge.”
Their Miami Open final clash marks their 13th match and fourth final. They last met in the title matches of the 2026 Australian Open, the 2025 Madrid Open, and the 2023 US Open.
