The NFL offseason has been rather explosive so far, from Maxx Crosby’s trade to the Baltimore Ravens being canceled to Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III joining the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency.
Although many of the major moves have likely been made, there are still a few notable free agents looking for their next landing spot, including Najee Harris, who could be off the market sooner rather than later.
Ian Rapoport Shares Major Update on Najee Harris in Free Agency
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the market for Harris has been heating up, with the star running back reportedly meeting with several teams this week.
The former Los Angeles Chargers back reportedly met with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday and will continue his free-agent tour with the Las Vegas Raiders.

It was a difficult season for Harris. He came into the year as the projected lead running back for the Chargers after signing a one-year, $5.25 million deal in free agency.
However, an offseason injury involving a Fourth of July firework delayed his start with his new team. He was able to suit up for Week 1, only to suffer a torn Achilles tendon in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos.
Despite the injury-shortened 2025 campaign, the former first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers has enjoyed a solid career so far, racking up 28 rushing touchdowns in 71 games as a pro.
A former Pro Bowler, Harris is heading into his age-28 season, and given the shelf life of elite running backs, this could be one of the final major contracts he will be able to sign in the NFL
If he were to sign with either Seattle or Las Vegas, it would be unlikely that he would secure the starting spot, given the running back depth charts for both teams.
The Seahawks lost Kenneth Walker III in free agency, so Harris could likely form a solid one-two punch with likely starter Zach Charbonnet.
Harris’ 2025 campaign was marred by injuries. However, he was solid in his final year with Pittsburgh the year prior, racking up 1,043 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns.
The former Alabama Crimson Tide standout finished the 2024 season ranking 22nd in the NFL according to PFSN’s Running Back Impact Metric. A bounce-back could be in order, even if it comes in a smaller role on his next team.
