Five-Star QB Elijah Haven Plans Another Visit to Alabama

Haven was spotted airing it out at the Nike Opening in New Orleans, continuing to establish himself as a smooth, natural passer who can make every throw on the field. He is currently considering Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia, with the Crimson Tide set to host him for A-Day.

Former Alabama quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan initially recruited Haven. Although Sheridan has since moved to Michigan State as an offensive coordinator, the Crimson Tide remains heavily invested in the Louisiana signal-caller.

Kalen DeBoer’s staff welcomed Haven for an unofficial visit in January, and the trip left a strong impression.

“It was a great visit,” Haven told Touchdown Alabama following the trip. “Just a great opportunity to see everyone again with my parents was nice, and obviously, talking with the coach is always great. My family and I think so highly of the program. It was great to be back.”

Alabama continues to hold momentum in Haven’s recruitment, with the Rivals recruiting predictor giving the Crimson Tide around a 79% chance to land his commitment. Alabama already has a quarterback pledge in the 2027 class with four-star Trent Seaborn.

DeBoer’s current class features four commits, ranking No. 24 nationally and No. 10 in the SEC.

Haven also shared his planned commitment timeline with Touchdown Alabama during the Nike event. “I’m hoping within the next month, aiming for the date of April 25th as of now,” he said. “So, we’ll see how that changes, if that fluctuates, but that’s the goal, and that’s the plan.”

Haven attends Dunham High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he has been a starter for three seasons. As a junior, he threw for 3,931 yards and 62 touchdowns while adding 794 rushing yards and 11 scores, leading Dunham to a state championship in 2025.

Haven has earned an invitation to the Elite 11 Finals, and several recruiting outlets rank him as the No. 1 quarterback in the 2027 class. The Rivals Industry Rankings list him as the No. 2 player in Louisiana and the No. 11 overall prospect nationally.

He has surpassed 9,000 career passing yards and more than 2,300 rushing yards, accounting for 134 passing touchdowns and 44 rushing scores. He would be a huge boost to an Alabama offense that recorded an 81.7 rating in 2025 in PFSN’s College Football Offense Impact Metric, finishing No. 30 in the country.
