Iga Świątek, Victoria Mboko, and João Fonseca, among others, are currently in Florida for the 2026 Miami Open. The tennis stars recently had the opportunity to meet legendary singer and songwriter Jon Bon Jovi at the tournament.
Bon Jovi is a passionate tennis fan and has been attending tournaments around the world for years, including the U.S. Open, Wimbledon Championships, and Miami Open, among others. Last year, he met with Novak Djokovic ahead of the ATP Masters 1000 hard-court tournament in Florida.

The 2026 Miami Open began on March 17 and will run until March 29, 2026. The matches of the tournament are being played on outdoor hard courts at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Recently, Świątek took to social media and shared a picture of herself with Bon Jovi and the Hard Rock Stadium, referring to him as a “legend.” She also mentioned a fun fact about how, after her breakthrough tournament at the 2019 Canadian Open, she bought the “Slippery When Wet” vinyl, which she revealed holds a special place in her heart.
“WHATTT 😱 Legend! @jonbonjovi Fun fact: I bought the “Slippery When Wet” vinyl during my kinda breakthrough tournament in Toronto in 2019 and it has a special place in my heart. It was amazing to meet you 🥰,” Świątek captioned her Instagram post.

The official WTA social media page also posted a couple of pictures of Mboko meeting Bon Jovi.

Andrey Rublev also had a conversation with Bon Jovi at Hard Rock Stadium. He and his coach, two-time Grand Slam champion Marat Safin, also took pictures with the singer.

Brazilian tennis star Fonseca met with Bon Jovi as well, ahead of playing his first match at the 2026 Miami Open.

Świątek, Mboko, and Rublev are seeded in at the 2026 Miami Open and will begin their campaigns in the second round after receiving first-round byes. In her opening match, second-seeded Świątek will face compatriot Magda Linette. The winner of this match will advance to compete against either the 31st seed Alex Eala or Laura Siegemund in the third round.

Meanwhile, 10th-seeded Mboko will face Anna Blinkova in her second-round match. The winner will meet either the 22nd seed Anna Kalinskaya, Anna Bondár, or qualifier Anastasia Zakharova in the third round.
In addition to her singles campaign, Mboko is also participating in the doubles event alongside Mirra Andreeva. They will take on the eighth-seeded pair of Ellen Perez and Demi Schuurs in the first round.
On the men’s side of the draw, 15th-seeded Rublev will face the winner of the first-round match between Alejandro Tabilo and Francisco Comesaña in his opening match. The winner will then compete against either 23rd seed Cameron Norrie, Alex Michelsen, or qualifier Mattia Bellucci in the third round.
Meanwhile, Fonseca is set to face Fábián Marozsán in the first round, with the winner advancing to take on top seed Carlos Alcaraz in the second round.
