Aryna Sabalenka Delays Wedding Planning as Miami Open Title Defense Begins

Aryna Sabalenka reveals she will wait 18 months to marry Georgios Frangulis to ensure the perfect celebration.

Aryna Sabalenka wrapped up the Indian Wells Open in spectacular fashion, seizing the title after a thrilling 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(6) victory over Elena Rybakina. Now, she sets her sights on the WTA 1000 Miami Open as both the top seed and defending champion. Sabalenka is positively glowing after announcing her engagement to Brazilian entrepreneur Georgios Frangulis, the visionary behind superfood brand Oakberry. The couple began their relationship in 2024, with the WTA star not only making headlines on the court but also becoming the brand ambassador of Oakberry, the vibrant superfood brand known for its açaí delights.

She began dating Frangulis a month after her previous partner passed away in 2024, and once reflected on the significance of his support during the period of extreme grief. Sabalenka expressed, “There was a really tough period where I was really happy to have him by my side, always cheering me up, always making sure that we are doing some fun stuff.”
