Micah Parsons Defends Packers While Taking Shot at Cowboys

As the NFL free agency picked up the pace on Tuesday, Parsons had some pointed comments about Green Bay’s move. He also managed to throw in a dig at the Cowboys.

Parsons weighed in on X, retweeting a message from “Locked on Packers” podcast host Peter Bukowski. “I think any player hitting a second contract is successful to me ! Business is business I had 3 all pros and still ain’t get paid by the team that drafted me!”

Bukowski’s post on X read the following: “I don’t think that’s true at all. Quay Walker was a miss as a first-round pick, but Romeo Doubs was a home run 4th round pick. Enagbare was a home run 5th. Rasheed Walker was a grand slam 7th. Those players are leaving BECAUSE they’re going to be expensive.”

According to PFSN’s NFL Defense Impact Metrics, measured through the regular season, the Packers’ defense had an impact score of 74.4 and graded out at C-. In 14 games last season for Green Bay, Parsons recorded 12.5 sacks, 19 solo tackles, and 2 forced fumbles.

In his first four NFL seasons with the Cowboys, Parsons recorded 52.5 sacks and 172 solo tackles. Ever since Parsons was dealt, though, Dallas has been struggling to fill his spot.

Earlier on Tuesday, Doubs agreed to terms with the New England Patriots. He’ll become a talented receiver for Patriots quarterback Drake Maye after being an effective one for Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Parsons appears to still be a bit miffed at Jones and the Cowboys for how his contract situation was handled by the organization. Cowboys fans can probably read between the lines in what Parsons posted on X about contracts. Parsons will look to help the Packers’ defense look stout in the 2026 NFL season.
