Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion Sends Powerful Message to Mockers After NFL Combine

Former Texas A&M Aggies wide receiver KC Concepcion addressed the negative reactions by fans to his speech impediment.

Former Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion formed a devastating duopoly with Mario Craver in College Station for one of college football’s most explosive offenses last season. Before declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft, Concepcion spent one season at Texas A&M after joining from the NC State Wolfpack, where he spent two seasons.

On Saturday, Concepcion was the target of mockery from some fans after his NFL Combine interview, during which his speech impediment was evident.

KC Concepcion Addresses Speech Impediment

After his incident at the combine, Concepcion posted a lengthy statement on his Instagram stories about fans’ reactions to his speech impediment, while encouraging others who suffer from the same issue.

“I just wanna say something,” Concepcion wrote. “If you have a speech impediment, there is nothing wrong with us. I have had this stutter since I can remember talking. This is a part of me. This is who I am. I cannot control this. I wanna be a role model for those who may be scared to speak up, who may be afraid and not confident in yourself.

“I stand with you. This weekend has taught me a lot about myself and people out here in this world. I appreciate everyone who supports me and has reached out to me after these interviews. Don’t let an outside person’s thoughts, opinions get in the way of you being great, of you achieving something in life.”

Concepcion is in the running to be one of the wide receivers picked in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, alongside former Ohio State Buckeyes standout Carnell Tate, USC Trojans’ Makai Lemon, and Arizona State Sun Devils star Jordyn Tyson.

ESPN Analyst Stands Up for Concepcion

After the varied reaction to Concepcion’s speech at the combine went viral, the former Aggies star received widespread support, and ESPN analyst Ryan Clark posted a heartfelt message for the draft hopeful on X on Sunday.

“Man!! Keep going KC Concepcion. Was inspiring to see you at the combine. Love what you represented, how you spoke, and never shrunk. Any goofy with something to say is just that… GOOFY! Blessings young man and can’t wait to see where you end up. Always a fan!” Clark tweeted.
