The Styles family is making quite the impact at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine.
Just a day after his brother, Sonny Styles, completed a great all-around workout, Ohio State safety Lorenzo Styles Jr. made some history in front of scouts on Friday.

Lorenzo held his own at the combine by running an official time of 4.27 seconds in the 40-yard dash — the fastest time by a safety at the event since 2003. Also, Missouri cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. ran an impressive 4.32 40-yard dash.
Styles recorded a noteworthy vertical jump of 39 inches, putting him close to the top of the drill, as well as the 40-yard dash. He opted not to participate in the broad jump. Per PFSN’s CFB Safety Impact metrics, Styles earned a C grade in 2025.
On Thursday, Sonny, Lorenzo’s brother and teammate the past three seasons at Ohio State, made his presence felt. Sonny generated buzz with his speed and leaping ability, standing out in jumping and running drills, as well as in positional work.
Before his time with the Buckeyes, Lorenzo was a wide receiver with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. He recorded 54 receptions for 684 yards and 2 touchdowns before transferring to Ohio State and converting to safety.
With the Buckeyes over the last three seasons, Lorenzo posted 47 total tackles, including 1.5 for loss, and added 7 defensed passes across 34 regular-season and postseason games.
