Angel Reese Makes Feelings Clear on Chelsea Gray Winning $200,000 Unrivaled 1v1 Tournament

Angel Reese reacts after Chelsea Gray wins $200,000 in Unrivaled’s 2026 1-on-1 tournament in Miami.

Chelsea Gray proved unstoppable in Miami on Saturday, capturing the crown at the second annual Unrivaled 1-on-1 in-season tournament. The Las Vegas Aces guard outdueled Allisha Gray in a best-of-three final in Miami to win the in-season tournament, emerging from a 32-player field of WNBA and Unrivaled standouts.

More notably, Gray’s $200,000 winner’s check was one of the biggest single-event payouts in women’s basketball. And Angel Reese was quick to show her support while turning the moment into a playful flex.

Angel Reese Praised Chelsea Gray’s Unrivaled 1-on-1 Tournament Win

Unrivaled’s official basketball page posted a celebratory graphic of Gray on X, and the Chicago Sky forward quickly reacted to the post.

“Can’t wait for her to take me to lunch on her dimeeeee soon as i touch downnnn🤪.”

Gray, a 5-foot-11 star, is competing for Rose BC in Unrivaled’s second season. Rose BC is the same team Reese played for during the league’s first edition in 2025. Reese did not participate this season as she continues to rest and recover from a back injury.

The tournament featured 32 players out of the league’s 48-player pool. It ran from Wednesday, Feb. 11, through Saturday, Feb. 14, with eight second-round matchups followed by four quarterfinal showdowns.

The championship match of the 1-on-1 tournament followed a best two-out-of-three format between Rose BC’s Chelsea Gray and Mist BC’s Allisha Gray.

Allisha took the opening game 7-0. Chelsea responded with an 8-3 win in Game 2. In the deciding game, Allisha jumped out to a 6-0 lead before Chelsea rallied for a 7-6 victory to secure the $200,000 prize, while Allisha earned $50,000 as runner-up. Phantom BC’s Kelsey Plum and Aliyah Boston each received $25,000 as semifinalists.

Gray’s individual tournament win adds to an already productive 2026 Unrivaled campaign. She is averaging 25.1 points per game on 50.8% shooting from the field and 44.9% from three-point range. She also posts 5.5 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

Gray currently ranks second behind Marina Mabrey in scoring in the Unrivaled league. She is also second in assists behind Paige Bueckers and second in three-pointers made, averaging 3.2 per game. She averages 22.3 minutes per game, the most of any player in the league.

A four-time WNBA champion, Gray won her first title with the Los Angeles Sparks before capturing three championships, including last season with the Las Vegas Aces.

Rose BC currently holds a 5-6 record and sits fifth in the standings.

The 2026 Unrivaled season runs from Jan. 5 through March 4 and features an expanded six-team playoff structure in its second year. The semifinals of the 2026 Unrivaled Playoffs will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on March 2. The league’s championship game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, at 9:30 p.m. ET.

For now, Gray celebrates a major payday, and Reese has already made her lunch plans clear.
