Before free agency started, the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders agreed to a trade to send Maxx Crosby to Baltimore. However, the Ravens shocked the NFL world and backed out of their blockbuster agreement for Crosby due to a failed physical.
Teams are still interested in trading for Crosby, and he will be among the most coveted players to hit the market as a premier edge player who piled up the second-highest PFSN EDGE impact Score. Here are some teams that can trade for him:
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys need a pass rusher after moving off of Micah Parsons before the start of the 2025 season. They have a dearth of defensive tackles after trading for Quinnen Williams at the trade deadline last year, but nothing really on the edge after Parsons’ departure.
The Cowboys are armed with excess draft capital thanks to their trade of Parsons. With two first-round picks, the Cowboys could likely win any bidding war that breaks out for Crosby. Everyone knows Jerry Jones loves a chance to make a splash.
.@TomPelissero said on NFL Network that the Dallas Cowboys would still be interested in trading for Maxx Crosby:
“There are teams that are going to be interested still in a Maxx Crosby trade, but there are a lot of things that they need to get answers on. Starting with the…

Although the Cowboys acquired Rashan Gary via a trade after Crosby’s move to the Ravens, Dallas can still back out of that deal with the Packers because it is not official yet. The Raiders’ asking price for Crosby will also be lower due to the failed physical, and the Cowboys can make a big move here to become a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
Philadelphia Eagles
Someone else who loves making a splash is Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman. Roseman lost Jaelan Phillips to the Carolina Panthers in free agency, and Phillips was the skeleton key that unlocked Philadelphia’s pass rush.
The Eagles are in win-now mode, as they always are, but have mastered moving assets to generate more capital. Moving on from A.J. Brown could help offset the draft capital and assets required to acquire Crosby.
After being involved in and missing out on Parsons a year ago, Roseman has always shown a propensity to go big-game hunting, even if it is a long shot.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville’s defense was great in its first year under defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile, excelling at taking the ball away. As is usually the case, takeaways covered up some of the other warts on that side of the ball. The Jaguars were near the bottom of the NFL in sacks, finishing No. 27.
That showed up at the worst possible time as they fell short in a home playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.
Now with Liam Coen entering his second season, and Trevor Lawrence improved under his tutelage, it’s time for the Jaguars to take a step. What better way to do so than to add an impact pass rusher, who the Raiders would be more likely to deal with since the Jaguars are not in their division?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off a disappointing finish to the season, where they missed the postseason despite beating the Carolina Panthers in their final regular-season game.
Their pass rush was a mess for most of last season, recording only 12 sacks in the final nine games. Crosby could be an instant impact player for Todd Bowles’ defense. The Bucs are armed with the 15th overall pick in the draft, which could be a good starting point for trade negotiations.
The Bucs also could be more willing to come off of that pick as a team set up to win right now with Baker Mayfield and a talented group of weapons available on offense.
