With Super Bowl 60 between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots being the current talk of the town, former star receiver and now Hall of Famer Randy Moss brought the conversation back to a couple of recent Hall of Fame snubs.
Moss had a message for the sports media world regarding who should be voting on Hall of Fame inductions following the omission of two Patriots legends, Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft.
Randy Moss Says Hall of Fame Must Change Who is Allowed to Vote
When speaking about the recent Hall of Fame inductions on ESPN’s NFL Countdown show, Moss mentioned not wanting to take away the light from the 2026 Hall of Fame class and some of the greats who were inducted, such as Larry Fitzgerald and Drew Brees.
However, speaking about this year’s class will always spark controversy due to the omission of two legendary Patriots.
“If you didn’t play it, if you didn’t coach it, you shouldn’t have a vote.”

Moss had a blunt statement regarding coach Belichick and Kraft and the fact that they were not first ballot Hall of Famers, two leaders whom Moss played under for years.
Moss prefaced his statement before getting into his bold claim with, “I know it’s going to ruffle some feathers, but I really believe that, as a football player, if you didn’t play it, if you didn’t coach it, you shouldn’t have a vote.” Moss exclaimed.
Moss is clearly passionate about the snubbing of two Patriots’ legends for the Hall of Fame. Moss believes that analysts or media members who didn’t play or coach in the NFL shouldn’t vote on Hall of Fame inductions. Moss believes the inductees should be determined by their peers in the league.

Moss spent four years, from 2007 to 2010, under Belichick and the Patriots, which explains his passion and support for the legendary duo. The legendary receiver was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018 and ranks second among Hall of Famers with 156 receiving touchdowns.
Moss’ proposition comes from the standpoint of a player who has already been inducted and would force the Hall of Fame committee to reconstruct its entire voting process. That idea seemed very unlikely until the Patriots controversy. It is no secret that the failure to include Belichick and Kraft as first ballot inductees has had fans questioning the Hall of Fame. Which means change is certainly not out of the question.
