Pickleball Slam 4 Sets the Stage for a High-Stakes Rematch Between Eugenie Bouchard and Andre Agassi

Bouchard is set to return for the Pickleball Slam 4, which will take place on Apr. 15, 2026. This upcoming edition marks a shift in the event’s format, pitting legendary tennis icons for the first time directly against top-tier pickleball professionals.

Bouchard, who has transitioned into a full-time pro on the PPA Tour (currently ranked No. 9 in women’s singles), will team up with the World’s No. 1 pickleball player, Anna Leigh Waters. They will face the three-time defending champion Agassi, who is partnering with former ATP star James Blake.

The high-stakes event will be held at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Similar to previous years, the tournament features a winner-take-all $1 million prize purse. The competition will be broadcast live in primetime on ESPN.

At the previous event, Pickleball Slam 3, held in February 2025 in Las Vegas, Bouchard teamed up with former US Open champion Andy Roddick. Despite a hard-fought battle that went to a tiebreaker, they were defeated by the husband-and-wife duo of Agassi and Steffi Graf.

Bouchard’s comments underline how personally she is approaching this matchup. In a comment shared on Instagram with The Pickleball Slam, she did not sugarcoat her thinking. “Number one goal. Make him move,” Bouchard said. “He’s on the other side of 50. You got to just get those guys on the run because they are way less effective that way.”

The Canadian reshared her comment on Instagram Stories, with the caption, “🤭🤭 sorry @agassi.”

After nearly 17 years on tour, Bouchard stepped away from professional tennis last year, a career defined by her run to the 2014 Wimbledon final and her prominence in Canadian women’s tennis.

Her exit from full-time competition took shape at the 2025 Canadian Open in Montreal, where she won her opening match before falling to Belinda Bencic, bringing a brief season to a close that also included the Hall of Fame Open and the Citi Open. Earlier, in January 2024, she began her move into professional pickleball on the PPA Tour.
