It’s not a fluke.
They have five players who average in double figures, and their top two bucket-getters on a per-game basis (Keaton Wagler and Kylan Boswell) are also 1-2 in assists on this team.
While Boswell (hand) is nearing return, he’s not there yet, so his impact is more a long-term conversation, but one to consider as we near tourney time.
When it comes to Sparty, their stock is as low as it’s been this year. Not only have they dropped consecutive games (Michigan and Minnesota) after winning 11 of 12, but Tom Izzo mentioned the idea of removing star Jeremy Fears Jr. from the starting lineup after dirty plays have popped up over the past week.

Slow starts have been the issue for State of late (47 first-half points during this losing streak against 97 after the break), and any hesitation out of the gates tonight will come back to haunt them.
