Following conference championship weekend and the Pro Bowl, the stage is set for Super Bowl 60. Two unlikely teams, the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, will face off at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The game will define legacies and be written into the NFL’s history books, but when will it take place?
Patriots vs. Seahawks in Super Bowl 60: Kickoff Details, NBC Broadcast Team, and Matchup Preview
The Super Bowl is scheduled for kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 8, with NBC broadcasters Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth calling the game, alongside sideline reporters Melissa Stark and Kaylee Hartung, and rules analyst Terry McAulay.
Despite the evening kickoff, NBC will begin airing pregame coverage at noon, featuring host Maria Taylor, co-hosts Noah Eagle and Jac Collinsworth, and analysts Tony Dungy, Jason Garrett, Rodney Harrison, and Devin McCourty.
The most anticipated game of the year features a rematch of Super Bowl 49, in which the Patriots stunned the Seahawks after cornerback Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson on a one-yard pass intended for Ricardo Lockette.

Now, the Patriots have a completely different regime led by Executive Vice President of Player Personnel Eliot Wolf and Head Coach Mike Vrabel, though Vrabel was part of three Super Bowl victories — 36, 38, and 39 — as a productive linebacker and occasional tight end.
Led by second-year quarterback Drake Maye, the Patriots have a consistently solid but largely non-explosive offense. None of his top weapons, including Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, or Hunter Henry, stand out on paper, yet Maye’s play has elevated those around him.
On defense, the line and pass rushers speak for themselves. The interior duo of Milton Williams and Christian Barmore has struck fear into opposing offenses, with both players ranking among the top 30 defensive tackles according to PFSN’s Defensive Tackle Impact Metric.

By contrast, Seattle’s front office remains largely unchanged from Super Bowl 49, led by General Manager John Schneider. Coaching-wise, second-year head coach Mike MacDonald has taken charge and crafted one of the league’s best defenses this season.
Led by a dominant secondary, including Devon Witherspoon and rookie Nick Emmanwori, the Seahawks have shut down nearly every offense they have faced. Their defensive line depth rivals the Patriots, with DeMarcus Lawrence, Byron Murphy II and Leonard Williams among the standouts.
On offense, Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba will lead the way, though they will rely heavily on running back Kenneth Walker III to keep the attack balanced.
It could be an old-school defensive matchup, but the outcome will not be known until kickoff at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
