Aryna Sabalenka is continuing her successful streak both on and off the court, advancing to the third round of the Australian Open after defending her Brisbane title and becoming the latest face of the Italian luxury fashion house, joining World No. 2 Jannik Sinner. Her recent stunning Gucci shoot, which captured the fashion in court action, has garnered admiration from her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, Paige Lorenze, Garbiñe Muguruza, and others.
Aryna Sabalenka Advances at Australian Open and Becomes New Gucci Ambassador
The World No. 1 is keeping her title hopes alive at Melbourne Park, as she has advanced to the third round after defeating Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah in two sets, 6-4, 6-1, and then Zhuoxuan Bai, with a final scoreline of 6-3, 6-1.
She entered the first Grand Slam of the season after successfully defending her Brisbane title, during which she surpassed Cristina Bucșa, Sorana Cîrstea, Madison Keys, to whom she lost her 2025 Australian Open title, Karolína Muchová, and Marta Kostyuk.
However, the Belarusian star has recently achieved a significant feat by becoming the new global ambassador for the Italian luxury fashion house, founded in Florence in 1921 by Guccio Gucci.

In an Instagram post, the elite brand revealed the shoot, captioned “Welcome to the Gucci family, Aryna,” featuring the WTA star in a beige and dark-brown silk gown from their Spring/Summer 2026 collection. The look was completed with heels and golden earrings featuring the brand’s logo and was displayed strikingly while Sabalenka played shots on the court.
Her shoot attracted Frangulis’s impressed reaction, who added, “She can do it all ❤️.” Apart from her boyfriend, whom she had been dating since 2024, Venezuelan-Spanish WTA star Muguruza also shared her thoughts on her Gucci shoot, saying, “Supercool.”

Furthermore, Tommy Paul’s fiancée, Lorenze, also added her reaction, “Ok obessed,” and Grigor Dimitrov’s girlfriend, Mexican actress Eiza González, wrote, “Yes girl!!! 🔥🔥.” Another WTA star from Germany, Eva Lys, mentioned, “omg.”

With her Gucci feat, Sabalenka joins the Italian star Sinner, who has been the brand ambassador for his homeland since 2022.
Coming onto her Australian Open run, Sabalenka will clash against Anastasia Potapova, the Russian-Austrian former World No. 21, whom she has defeated in their past two clashes. Potapova has advanced after surpassing 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu and Suzan Lamens.
