Aryna Sabalenka’s boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, recently shared heartwarming moments from his time at the Australian Open, which drew a reaction from Novak Djokovic’s wife, Jelena. Sabalenka and Frangulis have been together for nearly two years, having been seen publicly for the first time at the 2024 Madrid Open.
Frangulis is a Brazilian entrepreneur who founded the açaí superfoods brand Oakberry in 2016. Last year, he also invested in the French Ligue 2 club Le Mans FC, alongside Djokovic and former Formula 1 drivers Kevin Magnussen and Felipe Massa.

Recently, Sabalenka’s boyfriend, Frangulis, took to social media to share a series of pictures, flaunting his time in Australia.
He posted a photo of himself and the World No. 1 enjoying smoothies from Oakberry, a picture of him kissing Sabalenka after one of her matches, a photo with Australian racing driver Jack Doohan, and several other images.

Reacting to Frangulis’ Australian photo-dump, Djokovic’s wife Jelena expressed her admiration for the pictures and for him and Sabalenka.
“Patek 😍,” Jelena commented.
Meanwhile, Djokovic is seeded fourth at the 2026 Australian Open and began his run by defeating Pedro Martínez with a 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 score in his opening match. This year, he will be looking to win his 11th Melbourne Major title and a record-extending 25th Grand Slam title.

Bai secured her spot in the main draw of the Australian Open by winning her matches in the qualifiers, defeating Alina Korneeva, Chloé Paquet, and Darja Vidmanova. In the main draw, Bai overcame Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, advancing to face the World No. 1 in the second round.
Sabalenka and Bai have never played against each other on the WTA Tour, so their upcoming match will be their first encounter. The winner of the second-round match between these two players will move on to face either 28th seed Emma Raducanu or Anastasia Potapova in the third round of the tournament.
On the other hand, Djokovic’s second-round opponent, Maestrelli, earned his place in the main draw of the 2026 Australian Open by winning his qualifying matches, where he defeated Lorenzo Giustino, Thiago Seyboth Wild, and Dušan Lajović. In the main draw, he overcame Térence Atmane in the first round to set up his match against the Serb.
Djokovic and Maestrelli have never faced each other on the ATP Tour, making their upcoming match in the second round of the Melbourne Major a first-time showdown. The winner of this match will advance to face either Botic van de Zandschulp or Shang Juncheng in the third round of the tournament.
