Bills’ 5-Time Pro Bowler Couldn’t Believe Jaguars Fans Were Swimming in Pools During Wild Card Game: ‘Crazy’

A Bills Pro Bowler couldn't believe that Jaguars fans were in swimming pools at EverBank Stadium during their Wild Card round playoff game.

The Buffalo Bills went on the road to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs. The game was played at EverBank Stadium, which has swimming pools that fans can use while still seeing all the action. One of their stars was shocked by this during their postseason game in January.

What Did Bills Star Say About Swimmers at Their NFL Playoff Game vs Jaguars?

The Jaguars got the opportunity to host a playoff game after winning the AFC South title for the 2025 NFL season. The Bills earned a wild card spot, forcing them to go on the road for the first round. The game was played in a much warmer climate in Jacksonville, as opposed to the brutal winter conditions of Buffalo in January.

Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins, a five-time Pro Bowler, seemingly couldn’t believe his eyes when he noticed that some fans at the stadium were utilizing the swimming pools during their game. This is common at EverBank Stadium, but apparently not for Dawkins, especially this time of the year. He asked his teammate Gabe Davis, who played for Jacksonville in 2024, about the situation when he noticed it during pregame warmups.

“Gabe, what are they doing in that pool? What are they doing … Came to the stadium to swim? Crazy,” exclaimed Dawkins.

Whether it be from the pool or in the stands, the Jaguars fans were likely disappointed to see their impressive season come to an abrupt end against the Bills. It was an exciting game, with both teams leading at different points and a tight fourth quarter that came down to the final drive. Trevor Lawrence came up short, and Josh Allen came away with another postseason victory, though it was first away from Buffalo.

Both quarterbacks had strong 2025 seasons, including Allen finishing third in PFSN’s Impact Rankings for the year. Lawrence finished as one of the hottest quarterbacks in the league, finishing 14th or better in the weekly rankings for each of his past nine games. This created an intriguing quarterback battle, and they lived up to the hype, but the defending NFL MVP came out on top.

Up next for the Bills is another road game, and this time, it will come against the Denver Broncos. Buffalo defeated them in the playoffs last year, but the Broncos have taken a step forward this season to earn the top seed in the AFC and should present a bigger challenge this time.
