While Zarazúa’s concerns stemmed from skin damage, extreme heat has affected players in far more serious ways at other tournaments. One such instance came at the Shanghai Masters, where Jannik Sinner’s title defence ended abruptly when he was forced to retire mid-match against Tallon Griekspoor in the third round due to severe physical distress.
It is worth noting that Sinner has been engaged in a long-term partnership with the renowned French skincare brand La Roche-Posay since 2024, an initiative aimed at promoting awareness and protection against harmful UV exposure.
