When John Harbaugh was fired by the Baltimore Ravens after the team failed to make the NFL playoffs, it immediately moved him to the top of the list for teams searching for a new head coach.
Harbaugh spent 18 years as the Ravens’ head coach, leading the franchise to one Super Bowl championship during his tenure. Yet the NFL coaching carousel is spinning fast and furious this offseason, and three specific teams reportedly want to speak with Harbaugh soon.

“Former Ravens coach John Harbaugh continues to gather information on potential destinations, and the expectation is he’ll interview with the Giants, Titans and Falcons by the end of the week,” Pelissero posted on X. “Other teams remain interested. But those three appear to have the inside track.”
The Giants have been searching for a new permanent head coach since firing Brian Daboll during the 2025 NFL season. The Titans are in a similar position after dismissing Brian Callahan during the season. After the Falcons completed regular-season play, team owner Arthur Blank decided to move on from Raheem Morris.
In each case, these teams are likely seeking a proven head coach who knows how to build a solid organization from top to bottom. Harbaugh demonstrated a strong sense of professionalism and structure during his time in Baltimore. He also benefited from having a franchise quarterback in Lamar Jackson to help lead the Ravens’ offense.
According to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact Metric, the Ravens’ offense finished the regular season with an impact score of 72.7, grading out at a C-.
Harbaugh went 8-9 last season, losing the final regular-season game on a Tyler Loop missed field goal against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With that win, the Steelers captured the AFC North title but were eliminated in an AFC Wild Card game Monday night, losing 30-6 to the Houston Texans.
Following the season, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin chose to step down after 19 years leading the franchise.
Harbaugh’s phone, however, is far from quiet. Teams are calling, and he is listening, making it intriguing to see where he ultimately decides to land.
