For most, the fantasy football season ended in Week 17. However, there are still plenty of leagues that follow the NFL season and play until the final regular-season week, despite the number of teams shutting down players due to injuries or a lack of stakes. Those managers will find a list of the injuries to track after Week 17 of the regular season.
Josh Allen, QB, Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen came into Week 17 with a foot injury. He was able to play, but seemed to be missing his typical mobility in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Allen was clearly limping throughout the game, but was able to play every snap.
Allen received X-rays after the game, which were negative, indicating that he had not further injured his foot. The Bills don’t have much to play for regarding playoff seeding, so don’t be surprised if the Bills give Allen Week 18 off in favor of backup Mitch Trubisky. Allen ends the 2025 season as the QB1 in fantasy points per game (22.8).
Geno Smith, QB, Las Vegas Raiders
Geno Smith suffered an ankle injury in the second half of the Las Vegas Raiders’ matchup against the New York Giants in Week 17. Kenny Pickett replaced him for the final drives of the game.
Afterwards, head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that Smith had suffered a high-ankle injury and acknowledged that it would be “hard for him to play” in Week 18. Pickett would be the assumed starter against the Chiefs in Week 18.
Malik Willis, QB, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love missed Week 18, giving backup Malik Willis his first start of the season. Willis was having an excellent game (18 of 21 for 288 yards and a touchdown, plus nine carries for 60 yards and two touchdowns) before aggravating a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter.
Love would assuredly clear the concussion protocol in Week 18, but may end up getting another week of rest with the Packers locked in to the 7-seed in the NFC playoffs. In that scenario, Willis would be the starter if his shoulder injury isn’t severe. Clayton Tune would be the signal caller if neither Love nor Willis can play.
Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets
Breece Hall suffered a knee injury in the fourth quarter of the New York Jets’ loss to the New England Patriots. He did not return to the game in a blowout loss.
After the game, Hall spoke with reporters and stated that his knee felt weird after he fell on it, and he was removed as a precaution. He even said that he “…probably won’t need to get it tested or anything, so I’m fine.”
Hall should be fine to play Week 18 against a Bills defense that could be resting several key starters.
Javonte Williams, RB, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys’ running back Javonte Williams has been dealing with a shoulder injury in recent weeks and aggravated it in the first half of the Dallas Cowboys’ matchup against the Washington Commanders. He did not return to the game.

The Cowboys don’t have anything worth playing for in Week 18, so there is a chance they could shut Williams down. Malik Davis would serve as the team’s lead back in that case, with the possibility of rookie Jaydon Blue being active.
Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams running back Blake Corum suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter of the team’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17. Corum was taken to the locker room before halftime and did not return in the second half.
The Rams have nothing to play for in Week 18, so there is little incentive to make Corum (or Kyren Williams) active in a meaningless game. If Williams and Corum are out, then Ronnie Rivers and rookie Jarquez Hunter should get plenty of opportunities.
Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. missed two games earlier in the season with a heel injury. He returned in Week 16 on a snap count and was expected to increase his workload in Week 17. Unfortunately, Harrison suffered an injury to his other foot that limited him to just 19 snaps.
On Monday, head coach Jonathan Gannon told reporters that Harrison would be on the field if he were healthy in Week 18. Make sure to monitor practice reports throughout the week to see if the second-year receiver can suit up.
Jaylen Waddle, WR, Miami Dolphins
Jaylen Waddle suffered a rib injury on the first drive of the Miami Dolphins’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The injury kept Waddle out for almost the entire first half, but he returned in the third quarter on a limited basis.
The Dolphins have nothing to play for in Week 18, which makes it very likely that Waddle will be shut down for the final game of the season. Fantasy managers likely will have their pick of Malik Washington, Greg Dulcich, and Theo Wease Jr. (in that order) on waivers if Waddle misses.
Luther Burden III, WR, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III had a breakout performance against the San Francisco 49ers. The 2025 second-round pick racked up nine targets, eight receptions, 138 yards, and a touchdown in a 42-38 loss. Unfortunately, Burden suffered an injury on the final play of the game and had to be helped off the field.

Burden was available for reporters after the game, which is usually a good sign. Fantasy managers got additional good news on Monday when head coach Ben Johnson told reporters that Burden had a quad injury and seemingly avoided anything significant.
Rashid Shaheed, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Veteran wide receiver Rashid Shaheed suffered a concussion in the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 17 win over the Carolina Panthers. He will now need to complete the NFL’s concussion protocol before Saturday’s Week 18 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

Seattle has a chance to secure the 1-seed in the NFC so that they will need all hands on deck against San Francisco. If Shaheed can navigate the protocol, he will have an excellent matchup against a secondary that Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears just picked apart.
If Shaheed can’t play, then expect bigger roles for Cooper Kupp and AJ Barner. Deep sleepers like Jake Bobo and Cody White (if healthy) will also be appealing dart throws.
Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns’ rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. was added to the injury report late last week with a groin injury but was ultimately able to play. Fortunately for fantasy managers, Fannin was able to find the end zone on one of his two receptions. Unfortunately, that reception was also his last play of the game, as he had aggravated his groin injury.
Fannin told reporters after the game that he was hopeful he could suit up in Week 18. However, Cleveland is fighting for draft position and may opt to hold the focal point of their passing attack out for the final game of his rookie season.
Jake Ferguson, TE, Dallas Cowboys
Jake Ferguson has been battling through a calf injury for the Dallas Cowboys in recent weeks. Unfortunately, the injury flared up during the first half of the team’s Week 17 matchup against the Washington Commanders, which led Ferguson to miss the second half.
The Cowboys don’t have anything to play for from a team perspective in Week 18, but Ferguson needs just one touchdown to tie the single-season leader for touchdowns at the tight end position in team history.
