Tyreek Hill Shares Cryptic Response After Dolphins Fan Predicts Star WR Leaving Dolphins in 2026

The future of Tyreek Hill with the Miami Dolphins remains uncertain after the veteran wide receiver suffered a serious knee injury in the 2025 season

The future of Tyreek Hill with the Miami Dolphins is a major question. The veteran wide receiver suffered a serious knee injury during the 2025 season, and there is a good chance he will be out of Miami when the offseason starts.

Hill is at an advanced age and carries a significant cap hit of $51.8 million in 2026. The Dolphins can clear $23.6 million if he is released and absorb the remaining dead cap, with both sides seemingly unhappy with the current state of their relationship.

Tyreek Hill Gets Cryptic on X About His Dolphins Future

After the 2024 season, Hill told reporters that his time in Miami was done and that he would look for a new team. He ultimately stayed, but the offseason became a distraction because of those comments. Poor production and a serious injury did not help his case.

The past two seasons certainly do not justify a $51.8 million cap hit for the veteran wide receiver, who is known for using his speed to beat defenders on vertical routes. As such, a fan pointed out that he would likely be gone because the Dolphins would not be able to manage such a large cap hit.

The receiver’s response on X was cryptic, consisting solely of a GIF featuring “The Office” character Jim Halpert hiding in a car.

Hill played in just four games during the 2025 season before missing the remainder of the year due to the knee injury. He finished with 21 receptions for 265 yards and one touchdown. It appeared his rapport with Tua Tagovailoa was returning to its best days, but everything ended abruptly.

The Dolphins clearly missed him. They currently hold a 6-9 record and are already eliminated from playoff contention. General manager Chris Grier was fired midseason, Tagovailoa was benched with three weeks remaining, and head coach Mike McDaniel is still fighting for his job, although he is expected to return in 2026.

Hill joined the Dolphins in 2022 following a blockbuster trade with the Kansas City Chiefs. Since then, Miami has reached the playoffs twice but failed to win a game. The Dolphins’ last playoff victory came in 2000, the longest drought in the NFL.

In 2022 and 2023, Hill ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the PFSN WR Impact metric. Since then, his production has declined, and he is now an unknown commodity returning from a major knee injury. He could return to the league, but his prime may be gone — just as his time with the Dolphins could be ending as well.
