The Pittsburgh Steelers have a critically important game coming up on Monday Night Football in Week 15. The team is holding onto a slim lead in the AFC North, and the second-place Baltimore Ravens have already won this weekend.
One of the key players on the Steelers’ offense is running back Jaylen Warren. Ahead of the Monday Night Football matchup, he was added to the injury report. Let’s find out what we know about Warren’s status.
Will Jaylen Warren Play in Week 15 against Dolphins?
Warren has played in 12 of the team’s 13 games this season. The Oklahoma State product has rushed for 652 yards and four touchdowns and also has 30 catches for 277 yards and two touchdowns.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Warren was added to the injury report due to an illness. The running back is listed as questionable for this crucial Monday Night Football matchup.

If Warren can’t go, the Steelers will likely turn to Kenneth Gainwell. When Warren missed the Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings, Gainwell rushed for 99 yards and two scores, so he’s a capable backup.
Gainwell has been used heavily in the passing game this year. DK Metcalf is the only player on the Steelers with more catches than Gainwell in 2025.

Still, it would be ideal to have all the starters healthy for a game of this importance. PFSN’s RB Impact ranking gives Warren an impact score of 80.1 for his performance in 2025, while Gainwell has an impact score of 78.6.
Steelers Looking to Stay atop AFC North
The Steelers got off to a strong start in 2025, going 4-1 through their first five games. The Ravens, meanwhile, had the opposite start, going 1-5 through their first six games.
It seemed like the Steelers would coast to a division title, but things have changed over the last month. The Ravens have won six of their last eight games, while the Steelers have gone 3-5 in their last eight. According to PFSN’s NFL Playoff Predictor, Pittsburgh currently has a 62.70% chance of winning the AFC North.
If the Steelers beat the Dolphins on Monday night, they’ll improve to 8-6 and will be a full game up on the 7-7 Ravens. With a loss, the Steelers and Ravens will have the same record.
The Steelers won the first matchup against the Ravens, and the rivals will face off again in Week 18 in a game that could have serious postseason implications.
