The Seattle Seahawks and Zach Charbonnet entered Week 15 with high hopes against the Indianapolis Colts and 44-year-old starting quarterback Philip Rivers at Lumen Field in Seattle.

What’s Happening With Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet?

It has been a rather slow day for Charbonnet and the Seahawks’ rush attack as a whole. So far on Sunday, the 24-year-old running back has just one carry for minus-2 yards.

There have been moments where the Seahawks celebrated a solid play, such as Seattle player Nick Emmanwori having a moment with a teammate.

Charbonnet needs to pick up the pace against a tough Colts’ defense if he’s going to make an impact in front of the rabid Seahawks’ fan base. “The 12th Man” wants to cheer on their team on Sunday.

According to the PFSN NFL RB Impact metrics, Charbonnet has an impact score of 67.0 and grades out to a D+. For the season entering Sunday’s matchup against the Colts, Charbonnet has 132 yards for 483 yards and eight touchdown runs. He’s averaging 3.7 yards per carry this season, too.

As a receiving option, Charbonnet has 11 catches for 87 yards and no touchdowns. Charbonnet was a second-round draft choice out of UCLA by the Seahawks in the 2023 NFL Draft. In two-plus seasons with Seattle, Charbonnet has 375 carries for 1,514 total yards and 17 rushing touchdowns. He also has one receiving touchdown in his career.

Seattle entered the game with a 10-3 record and tied for first place with the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West Division. Getting a win at home to keep pace or go ahead of the Rams is a matter of importance to head coach Mike Macdonald and his staff.

While the Seahawks were trailing the Colts at halftime, they hope that Darnold can get on track in the second half. They’ll need a complete performance from everyone to take down a Colts team that is also gunning for a victory, too.

Indianapolis entered Sunday’s game with an 8-5 record in the AFC South Division. The Colts are currently looking up at the first-place Jacksonville Jaguars and second-place Houston Texans. So, the result is important for both teams.
