Amanda Anisimova, Daria Kasatkina, Priscilla Hon, and Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, have recently expressed their heartbreak over a mass shooting that took place at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. The harrowing incident killed at least 16 people and wounded at least 40 people, a list which also included two police officers.
Bondi Beach’s Mass Shooting Garners Sorrowful Reactions From Amanda Anisimova and Others
The Great Southern Land has become the latest victim to experience a mass shooting, which took place during the first day of Hanukkah, a Rabbinic Jewish festival celebrated for the recovery of Jerusalem and reinvigoration of the Second Temple after the Jewish Maccabean Revolt.
The mass shooting caused 16 people to lose their lives, and one of the accused has been killed, while the other is in critical condition. The authorities had also found a vehicle near the site, which contained explosive devices, as per CNN.
The incident left the World No. 4 in frustration at the repeated violence, and while expressing her heartbreak, Anisimova shared through her Instagram story, “When will it end” was one of the thoughts, but we’ve been thinking that for far too long…💔❤️🩹 My prayers go out to all those affected 🇦🇺 🇺🇸.”
Another WTA star, Daria Kasatkina, who had changed her nationality from Russian to Australian, also expressed her grief without words, adding, “🇦🇺 💔.” Anisimova’s close friend, Australian player Priscilla Hon, also shared her thoughts on the sad incident, writing, “Bondi 💔🇦🇺 😭.”

Apart from them, American internet personality Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, also reflected her pain, writing, with the background of a stunning beach, “my favorite place in the world, today feels so so dark. love you oz 🤍”

Before this, another incident took place in Australia’s Croydon Park, Sydney, New South Wales, in October 2025, in which 16 people were injured; however, fortunately, no lives were lost.

The Prime Minister of Australia Expresses Concern While Condemning the Attack
Anthony Albanese, the Prime Minister of Australia, while addressing the horrific mass shooting incident at Bondi Beach, expressed his sentiments and national grief while also calling for unity.
He mentioned, as per the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, “The evil that was unleashed at Bondi Beach today is beyond anyone’s worst nightmare. There are nights that tear at the nation’s soul. In this moment of darkness, we must be each other’s light. An attack on Jewish Australians is an attack on every Australian, and every Australian tonight will be like me, devastated by this attack on our way of life.”
Apart from him, King of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth realms, Charles III, and Queen Camilla had also expressed their heartbreak, calling the mass shooting a “terrorist attack” against Jewish people.
