Jason Kidd is one of the best point guards in NBA history.
He is most known for his time with the New Jersey Nets and Dallas Mavericks.
Right now, Kidd is the head coach for the Mavs (who are coming off a 119-111 victory over the Nets).
Jason Kidd Makes Feelings Clear About Vince Carter
Before the game, Kidd was asked about his former teammate (Vince Carter), who was in the room, as he is now a member of the media.
Kidd (h/t Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News): “It’s great to see Vince. Vince can still play… It’s good to see Vince. His IQ, he understands the game, so for him to be able to have a seamless transition into that hard business you guys do… He has done it well… As a point guard, he makes the game easy, because he has to do the hard part.”
Carter then asked Kidd a question, which made for a special moment.

Kidd and Carter were teammates for part of four seasons on the New Jersey Nets (and one with the Mavs).
During the 2007 season, Carter averaged 25.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest while shooting 45.4% from the field (he played in all 82 games).
Meanwhile, Kidd had averages of 13.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 9.2 assists per contest.
During their stint with the Nets, Carter and Kidd had them as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
That said, they were unable to get out of the second round of the NBA playoffs.

Kidd went on to help the Mavs win the 2011 NBA Championship over LeBron James and the Miami Heat.
He also spent time with the Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks over 19 seasons.
Following his playing career, Kidd has been at the helm for the Nets, Bucks (and Mavs).
As for Carter, he became one of the best veterans (and role players) following his stardom in New Jersey and Toronto.
Over 22 seasons, the eight-time NBA All-Star played for the Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, New Jersey Nets, Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks.
