ATP Stars Reveal a Potential Comeback Date for Serena Williams Following Her Drug Testing Pool Inclusion

During their recent podcast on “Nothing Major Show,” the former players discussed the possibility of Williams returning to the court after bidding adieu to her prominent career in September 2022, following her run at the US Open.

This month, the International Tennis Integrity Agency confirmed that the winner of 73 WTA Tour singles titles, including 23 major titles, was in their Registered Testing Pool, which is mandatory for players looking to return to professional tennis.

Her name in the pool raised speculation about her potential comeback, and through their latest episode, Sam Querrey asked if they thought Williams would return in 2026, to which he confidently answered, “I’ll say yes.”

To which Steve Johnson added, “Yeah, 100%. You don’t put yourself back in the drug testing pool not to do it.” Whereas, Sock replied, “Yes, for sure. And I think with 2028 LA Olympics maybe looming around as well in a couple years, this could be part of that as well. But it’s in LA. And you never know. Maybe she I don’t know. That could be could be a thought.”
