The Los Angeles Chargers faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football in Week 14, a game that could have significant implications for the AFC’s playoff race.
One of those players who can help Los Angeles is wide receiver Keenan Allen, but he failed to make an impact in the first half.
What’s The Latest on Chargers WR Keenan Allen?
Allen has been very quiet during Monday night’s game. But the Chargers’ defense has forced two interceptions by Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts so far in the game, and the AFC West team led 10-6 at halftime.
The Chargers’ Donte Jackson picked off a Hurts pass and ran it back for some yardage. The other interception was caught by Da’Shawn Hand.

So, where is Allen? After the two-minute warning in the second quarter, Allen caught one pass from Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert for six yards. The veteran wideout was targeted just once in the first half, which was on that one reception. He was not on the team’s injury report before the game, either.
According to the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Allen has an impact score of 76.1 and grades out to a C. So far this season, he has 60 catches for 622 yards and four touchdown receptions.
He played his first 11 seasons with the San Diego-Los Angeles Chargers, then spent the 2024 season with the Chicago Bears before coming back to the Chargers. Allen was drafted in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Chargers.

In 13 NFL seasons, Allen has 1,034 receptions for 11,896 yards and 70 touchdown catches. His longest career reception was a 54-yarder back in the 2018 season for the Chargers. In 2013 and 2020, Allen had eight touchdown catches each, which tied for the most in one season for his NFL career.
Running back Omarion Hampton is the Chargers’ top receiver with two catches for 11 yards and one TD reception from Herbert in the first quarter. Kimani Vidal, Tre’ Harris, and Quintin Johnson also had one catch apiece on Monday night.
The team hopes to get Allen more involved on the field in the second half. The Chargers hope to increase their lead and secure a big win over the Eagles. Entering Monday night’s game, Los Angeles was 8-4 on the season and in second place in the AFC West.
