Packers Injury Report: Latest Status Updates On Josh Jacobs, Quay Walker, Javon Bullard

The Packers Friday injury report revealed some important updates on some key players ahead of Sunday's big rivalry game with the Bears.

The Green Bay Packers had several key players on the injury report this week, and Friday’s report provides a game status update for each player heading into the weekend. The Packers will play arguably their biggest game of the season on Sunday against the Chicago Bears, and they’ll get a key piece back.

After being a full practice participant on Thursday and Friday, the Packers will get linebacker Quay Walker back in the lineup for Sunday’s contest.

What Does Friday’s Injury Report Reveal About Key Packers?

While the Packers will get Walker back, another pivotal part of the defense popped up on the injury report this week and is questionable to play on Sunday.

MarShawn Lloyd, Colin Oliver, and Brenton Cox Jr. are all coming off injured reserve and practiced in a limited capacity all three days this week. Oliver and Cox are questionable, but would need to be activated tomorrow to play on Sunday. Lloyd will remain out for another week.

Packers Friday Injury Report

  • S Javon Bullard (Ankle) – Questionable
  • DL Brenton Cox Jr. (Groin) – Questionable
  • WR Matthew Golden (Wrist) – Questionable
  • CB Nate Hobbs (Knee) – Questionable
  • RB MarShawn Lloyd (Calf) – Out
  • DL Collin Oliver (Hamstring) – Out
  • WR Jayden Reed (Foot/Shoulder) – Questionable
  • DL Lukas Van Ness (Foot) – Out
  • WR Savion Williams (Foot) – Out
  • DL Devonte Wyatt (Ankle) – Out

The big news on the offensive side is that Reed is questionable to play. He would also need to be activated to play on Sunday. However, the Packers placed Wyatt on injured reserve today, which opened a roster spot.

So, if the Packers want to activate Reed, they don’t have to do any additional maneuvering.

Bullard is the big question mark heading into the weekend. The Packers’ safety practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday but did not practice on Thursday or Friday. If Bullard were to miss Sunday’s game against the Bears, it would be the first game he misses this year.

On the positive side, linebacker Quay Walker participated in a full practice on Thursday and Friday and is now off the injury report. Additionally, running back Josh Jacobs had a full practice on Friday and is also off the injury report.

Some other notable names are receiver Dontayvion Wicks and offensive lineman Zach Tom, who each had limited practices all week but are off the injury report.

Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper finished the week with two full practices, and defensive lineman Karl Brooks had a full practice on Friday, and they are both off the injury report. Hobbs and Golden both had limited practices all week and are questionable. If Bullard can’t go, Hobbs could be one to fill in for a lot of snaps.

Lastly, quarterback Jordan Love was a full participant in practice all week and has no injury designation. The Bears’ Friday injury report revealed they’ll be without receiver Rome Odunze, defensive back Tyrique Stevenson, and linebacker Ruben Hyppolite.

Keep an eye on Saturday roster moves because Reed could be activated if the Packers plan for him to play on Sunday.
