Lions Announce Halftime Entertainment for TNF Matchup

After an electrifying Thanksgiving halftime show that featured 15-time Grammy Award winner Eminem and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jack White, Detroit has decided to run it back a week later. This time, the Lions and their fans welcome local R&B hip-hop group, The Temptations.

“Motown’s very own The Temptations will perform a medley of some of their greatest hits at halftime!

“With their signature dance movies and unmistakable harmonies, The Temptations – signed by Motown in 1961 – quickly rose to the top of the charts, forever cementing themselves in history by transforming the landscape of music before being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,” wrote Hunter Leach in a Lions press release.

The Temptations describe themselves as “an epic journey of courage, struggle, triumphs, setbacks, and ultimately, international superstardom,” via the group’s official website.

Interestingly enough, their story could line up perfectly with that of the Lions’ current path. Years of struggling and setbacks, bound by an unwillingness to quit, courage, and hopefully, eventual triumph and superstardom.

With the stage set up for an all-out brawl, how do Dallas and Detroit match up against one another?

All-American Matchup Features Stars on Both Sides of the Field

With both teams looking to squeak into the 2026 postseason, neither Dallas nor Detroit currently appears to be en route. Using PFSN’s Football Playoff Meter (FPM), we see the Cowboys have a 21.4% chance to make the playoffs and a 14.5% chance to win the NFC East.

The Lions are given slightly better odds to make the playoffs at 35%. However, Detroit is all but out of contention for the division, with just a 6% chance of winning the NFC North, a division they have won each of the last two seasons.

Some major storylines going into the contest include: Amon-Ra St. Brown’s availability, George Pickens’ elevated play, and home-field advantage.

Do not miss a moment of the action when Dak Prescott and the Cowboys kick off against Jared Goff and the Lions from Detroit, Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET.
