2025 NFL QB Rankings: Lamar Jackson Continues to Drop, Patrick Mahomes Rises into Top 10

Coming out of Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season, here's how every eligible quarterback ranks in terms of PFSN's QB Impact metric.

Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season is now in the rearview mirror. Among many other performances, the likes of Bo Nix, Dak Prescott, and Jacoby Brissett all threw for over 300 yards, though not all of them led their respective teams to victory.

PFSN has you covered with your QB rankings for the 2025 season, as our QBi metric puts a numerical value on how each one performs every week. Note that these rankings only include the games played this year, not any previous games from other seasons, or factoring into each player’s reputation.

40) J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 52.5 (F)

Last Week’s Ranking: 38

Due to a concussion, J.J. McCarthy didn’t play for the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13. However, with Dillon Gabriel and Jake Browning no longer eligible for this list, he now has the lowest QBi in the league.

39) Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 56.6 (F)

Last Week’s Ranking: 37

Sunday proved to be more of the same for Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans. He threw for just 142 passing yards and no touchdowns, and the Titans fell to 1-11 with their blowout loss to the Jaguars.

Ward is still just 37th in EPA per dropback at -0.14, and his 5.0 net yards per attempt ranks only 39th. The tape shows some intriguing flashes, but it hasn’t yet led to sustained success.

38) Russell Wilson, New York Giants

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 60.6 (D-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 36

Russell Wilson remains firmly in backup territory for the remainder of the 2025 NFL season.

37) Davis Mills, Houston Texans

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 63.6 (D)

Last Week’s Ranking: 33

With the return of C.J. Stroud to the Houston Texans’ starting lineup, Davis Mills didn’t see action in Week 13.

36) Tyrod Taylor, New York Jets

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 63.8 (D)

Last Week’s Ranking: N/R

The New York Jets picked up the win over the Falcons in Week 13 with a last-second field goal, and it was Tyrod Taylor at the helm for them at quarterback in the win. He ended the game with 172 passing yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions to get his team to jump to 3-9.

Given a relatively small sample size, Taylor’s production is more prone to variance when he performs well or poorly in a given start. That said, his 5.3 net yards per attempt is the fifth-lowest average in the NFL.

35) Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 64.4 (D)

Last Week’s Ranking: N/R

With the absence of Michael Penix Jr. in recent weeks, Kirk Cousins now has a large enough sample size to crack PFSN’s QBi rankings. He was passable on Sunday, throwing for 231 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions, even if the Atlanta Falcons narrowly lost to the Jets in the process.

Cousins only has three starts to his name this season, so it’s tough to come to concrete conclusions on his season thus far. However, of the 40 quarterbacks qualified for this list, his 136.6 passing yards per game is the lowest of the bunch.

34) Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 64.6 (D)

Last Week’s Ranking: 30

It was an outing with flashes but not enough substance from Tyler Shough on Sunday. He threw 239 yards and two touchdowns, but he also added an interception into the mix as the New Orleans Saints fell in a tight matchup with the Dolphins.

Obviously, Shough’s smaller sample size makes it more challenging to come to concrete conclusions about his game than other quarterbacks on this list. That said, his -0.56 EPA per dropback under pressure ranks just 36th in the NFL, and his EPA throughout the whole game remains negative through his first four games.

33) Spencer Rattler, New Orleans Saints

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 66.8 (D)

Last Week’s Ranking: 33

Spencer Rattler remains benched in favor of rookie Tyler Shough. His QBi grade remains unchanged this week.

32) Joe Flacco, Cincinnati Bengals

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 66.9 (D)

Last Week’s Ranking: 32

With Joe Burrow’s return to the starting lineup, Joe Flacco went back into a backup role for the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13.

31) Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 68.1 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 27

Among the NFL’s starting quarterbacks in Week 13, Aaron Rodgers finished dead last with 117 passing yards. That, along with his 47.6% completion percentage and lack of touchdowns scored through the air, played a role in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ blowout loss to the Bills on Sunday.

It’s been a tough year for Rodgers, who ranks 33rd in third-down conversion rate and ranks in the bottom half of the NFL in practically every other one of PFSN’s analytical categories. The hope is that the Steelers can squeeze enough out of him to win the AFC North by the end of the season.

30) Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 68.1 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 31

Trevor Lawrence hasn’t been the most reliable starting quarterback this year, but Sunday was one of his better outings of the season. He led the Jacksonville Jaguars to an emphatic win over the Titans, throwing for 229 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.

The no-interceptions part is huge for Lawrence, as he ranks third in the league with 11 interceptions this season. His 59.7% completion percentage is also a problem, but as long as he doesn’t outright cost his team games, the Jaguars seem to be finding ways to succeed despite him.

29) Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 68.5 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 34

The Carolina Panthers picked up one of the biggest upsets of the year on Sunday, defeating the Rams in a 31-28 stunner. Bryce Young’s strong play helped propel them to that win, as he threw for three touchdowns with no interceptions and a 147.1 passer rating.

Though Young has the second-fewest passing yards of any quarterback with 12 starts this year, there have been some encouraging flashes along the way. The consistency has yet to follow, but Carolina remains in the NFC playoff hunt, regardless.

28) Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 68.6 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 29

Geno Smith actually led the NFL in Week 13 with a 78.3% completion percentage, and he threw two touchdowns in his outing against the Chargers on Sunday. He also added to his lofty interception total for the season, though, and a lack of explosive plays on offense doomed the Las Vegas Raiders in the loss.

Due primarily in part to his 14 interceptions that tie for the most in the NFL, Smith is 36th of the qualified 40 quarterbacks in EPA per dropback this season. His completion percentage and passing yards totals haven’t been bad in 2025, but he’s simply turning the ball over way too much to give the Raiders a chance in most games.

27) Justin Fields, New York Jets

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 69.0 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 28

Tyrod Taylor returned to the New York Jets’ starting lineup on Sunday, so Justin Fields’ QBi grade doesn’t change this week.

26) Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 69.9 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 26

Michael Penix Jr. suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 11, so his QBi grade will remain the same for the foreseeable future.

25) Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 71.8 (C-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 23

In what’s been a disappointing season, Tua Tagovailoa had a rough outing against the Saints on Sunday. Though the Miami Dolphins still ended up winning 21-17, Tagovailoa threw for under 200 yards and added another interception to his lofty season-long totals.

24) Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 72.4 (C-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 25

Baker Mayfield finds himself rising a spot in the QBi rankings with a modest yet efficient stat line in Week 13. He threw for 194 passing yards and a touchdown in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 20-17 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.

23) Carson Wentz, Minnesota Vikings

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 72.3 (C-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 24

Carson Wentz is expected to miss the rest of the 2025 regular season due to a shoulder injury. His grade will remain the same for the foreseeable future.

22) Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 73.4 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 15

With how tight the AFC North playoff race is, the Baltimore Ravens need all the help they can get. They didn’t get much of it on Thanksgiving, as the Bengals blew them out 32-14. Lamar Jackson didn’t score a touchdown, had an interception, and ran for only 27 yards in the defeat.

After Week 13, Jackson’s EPA per dropback has actually dropped all the way down to an -0.01 average, indicating he’s costing the Ravens more points than he’s earning them on a typical dropback. Injuries have played a significant role in that, but Baltimore needs him to get himself together if they are to make it to the postseason.

21) Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 74.4 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 22

Jayden Daniels missed Week 13 due to a dislocated elbow, and he’s expected to miss much more than that going forward.

20) Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.0 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 21

Kyler Murray didn’t play in Week 13, as Jacoby Brissett seems to have taken over the Arizona Cardinals’ starting quarterback job.

19) Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 76.9 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 19

The Arizona Cardinals continue to rely on a pass-heavy approach with Jacoby Brissett at the helm. He threw for 301 yards with two touchdowns on Sunday, but he also threw an interception, and they ultimately came up just short against the Buccaneers.

In optimal conditions, Brissett has actually been quite solid; his 0.37 EPA per dropback in a clean pocket is tied for the sixth-best average in the NFL. It’s that unreliability under pressure that’s getting to him, and it often results in questionable throws being made.

18) C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.5 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 20

C.J. Stroud made his return to the Houston Texans’ starting lineup in Week 13, and the results saw them extend their winning streak with a key victory over the Colts. He threw for a strong 276 yards in the win, even if he went without a touchdown and added a pick into the mix.

Similar to the Brissett mentioned above, Stroud has a top-ten EPA per dropback in a clean pocket but has struggled under duress this season. He doesn’t stand out as particularly elite in any other of PFSN’s analytical categories, but he’s doing well enough to keep Houston afloat with how well their defense is playing.

17) Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.5 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 18

Black Friday was an inconsistent performance for Caleb Williams, as he completed just 47.2% of his passes and threw an interception in his matchup against the Eagles. He also had a key touchdown in the fourth quarter, though, and thanks to a strong run game and a solid defense, the Chicago Bears picked up their fifth win in a row.

Chicago remains winning in the midst of average quarterback play from Williams, who grades out as middle of the road in practically every category PFSN has. That said, the flashes are apparent, and the fact that the Bears have this good of a record without Williams at his full potential makes the future extremely bright.

16) Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 77.0 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 16

For as poorly as the 2025 NFL season has gone for the Washington Commanders, they were very competitive in their overtime loss to the Broncos on Sunday night. Marcus Mariota threw for 294 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the showdown, adding 55 yards on the ground to the mix, as well.

Though a lack of third-down success is currently hurting Mariota’s QBi, he’s tied for 11th in the league in EPA per dropback. By the standards of these metrics, he’s been the second-best backup quarterback in the NFL this season, which is something to be satisfied with.

15) Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 77.6 (C+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 17

Bo Nix led all quarterbacks in the NFL with 321 passing yards in Week 13. It took a nail-biter that went into overtime for them to seal the deal. Still, the Denver Broncos defeated the Commanders on Sunday night, and a respectable outing with a touchdown and a 64.4% completion percentage helped get them there.

Coming out of Week 13, Nix leads the NFL with six game-winning drives and is tied with Caleb Williams for the most fourth-quarter comebacks in the league. He hasn’t been the most consistent firing out of the gate, but he’s stepped up when it’s mattered most to help Denver win games.

14) Jaxson Dart, New York Giants

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 79.7 (C+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 12

Monday night was disappointing for the New York Giants, as they gave up 17 first-quarter points and buried themselves in a hole against the Patriots that they couldn’t get out of. That said, Jaxson Dart played pretty well on a small sample, throwing a touchdown and posting a 99.1 passer rating while completing 17 of 24 attempts.

So far this season, Dart ranks second in the NFL in third-down conversion percentage behind only Brock Purdy. He also has the ninth-best EPA per dropback average under pressure, showing that he’s able to remain poised under duress to extend the play and create for the Giants’ offense.

13) Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.0 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 9

For only the second time in the 2025 NFL season, Jalen Hurts threw an interception. Black Friday saw the Philadelphia Eagles upset by the Bears, though Hurts played a decent game overall, throwing two touchdowns and 230 passing yards.

Of the 18 starting quarterbacks who have started every one of their teams’ respective games, Hurts has the third-fewest passing attempts and the fourth-fewest passing yards. He also has the second-lowest interception percentage of just 0.6% this season, though, and his 27 touchdowns to just two picks all season is something to marvel at.

12) Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.2 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 13

Coming out of a disappointing showing against the Jaguars in Week 12, Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers needed a get-right game in Week 13. They found exactly that against the Raiders on Sunday, as Herbert completed 75% of his passes with two touchdowns and a pick in the Chargers’ 31-14 victory.

As of this writing, Herbert is tied for fourth in the NFL with 10 interceptions through 12 games. He’s also fifth in passing touchdowns and fourth in third-down conversion rate, though, showing he can make enough plays to counteract those mistakes and keep Los Angeles competitive no matter what.

11) Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.0 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 10

Brock Purdy returned to the San Francisco 49ers’ starting lineup, so Mac Jones’ QBi doesn’t change this week. That said, it doesn’t hurt the 49ers to know that they have one of the best backups in the NFL.

10) Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.8 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 14

The Detroit Lions may have lost on Thanksgiving to the Packers, but Jared Goff doesn’t shoulder much of the blame, if any. He finished with a stellar 132.9 passer rating, throwing for 256 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions with a 76.9% completion percentage in the 31-24 loss.

Goff is tied for second in the NFL with 25 passing touchdowns, and he’s now tied for fifth in the league with a 0.18 EPA per dropback average. He did well enough in Week 13 to get back into the top ten, but his EPA per dropback average under pressure is only 28th of the 40 quarterbacks qualified for this list.

9) Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 81.5 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 8

Though Matthew Stafford has been a top-tier QB for much of this season, Sunday was one of his worst performances of the 2025 NFL season. He threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw two interceptions and gave up a strip sack in the Los Angeles Rams’ upset loss to the Panthers.

The Rams still have an impressive 9-3 record, and he leads the league in all of the following categories: passing touchdowns, touchdown percentage, first downs, passer rating, and longest pass. The only actual knock on him analytically is that he’s 25th in EPA per dropback under pressure.

8) Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 79.9 (C+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 11

Week 13 saw Patrick Mahomes put up solid numbers, but the Kansas City Chiefs were unable to come away with the win despite that. He threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns in the Chiefs’ loss to the Cowboys.

As one could expect out of the three-time Super Bowl champion, Mahomes has been nails under duress this season. His EPA per dropback when pressured is the highest in the NFL, and he leads the league with 270.6 passing yards per game. His completion percentage is below the league average this year, but it’s been a strong campaign altogether.

7) Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 82.0 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 6

Sam Darnold completed just 14 of 26 passes for 128 yards on Sunday, but the Seattle Seahawks were still able to blank the Vikings 26-0. Though it was the defense that carried a lot of the load this week, Darnold has still been a reliable passer through much of the 2025 season.

Darnold has had a stranglehold over the highest net yards per attempt average all year, as his 8.7 average is considerably ahead of Drake Maye, who’s in second place at 8.3. That’s benefited heavily by his NFL-best 13.5 yards per completion this season, even if he is tied for fourth in the league with 10 interceptions thrown.

6) Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 85.8 (B)

Last Week’s Ranking: 7

The Dallas Cowboys have won each of their last three games, and their dynamic offense has been a big reason why. Dak Prescott stepped up in the clutch again in Week 13, throwing for 320 yards with two touchdowns, one interception, and a 69.2% completion percentage in their Thanksgiving win over the Chiefs.

Prescott ranks in at least the top 13 in practically every one of PFSN’s major passing analytical categories, including his second-best EPA per dropback under pressure, trailing only Patrick Mahomes. He also now holds the NFL’s lead for passing yards with 3,261 yards through 12 games.

5) Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 86.6 (B)

Last Week’s Ranking: 5

Daniel Jones completed just under 52% of his passing attempts, which wasn’t a great look for him on Sunday, but it was hardly a bad performance from him. He threw for 201 yards with two touchdowns, no interceptions, and a 101.0 passer rating, even though the Indianapolis Colts fell just short of the Texans.

After a red-hot start, which saw him dominate the No. 1 spot in QBi grading for much of the first half of the year, Daniel Jones has cooled down in recent weeks. Still, he’s seventh in the league in EPA per dropback, fourth in third-down conversion rate, tied for third in net yards per attempt, and third in EPA per designed QB run.

4) Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 86.8 (B)

Last Week’s Ranking: 4

Despite a lackluster stat line on Sunday, Brock Purdy remains quite favored in PFSN’s analytical database. He threw for 168 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in the San Francisco 49ers’ decisive victory over the Browns in Week 13.

Purdy has the highest third-down conversion rate in the NFL, and he has the sixth-highest EPA per dropback in a clean pocket. His 0.43 EPA per dropback in close-game situations also ranks third in the league, which plays into his having a top-five clutch sum in the game right now.

3) Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 87.9 (B+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 3

Thanksgiving was a stellar showcase of Jordan Love’s abilities. He went 18-of-30 for 234 yards and threw four touchdowns with no interceptions in the Green Bay Packers’ victory over the Lions on Thursday.

In a clean pocket, Love’s EPA per dropback average of 0.56 is nearly a whole tenth of a point higher than the second-place finisher, Drake Maye. He ranks in the top ten in such statistical categories as lowest interception ratio, passer rating, EPA per dropback, third-down conversion rate, and EPA per designed QB run.

2) Drake Maye, New England Patriots

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 88.1 (B+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 2

Drake Maye continued his late-season push for MVP consideration on Monday night, resulting in the New England Patriots winning their tenth game in a row. In the win over the Giants, Maye threw for 282 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, and a 126.0 passer rating.

After Week 13, Maye is tied only with Jordan Love for the highest EPA per dropback average in the NFL. He’s been second in net yards per attempt throughout much of the season, and his 71.0% completion percentage is also the highest in the league.

1) Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 90.0 (B+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 1

The Buffalo Bills relied a lot more on their run game in Week 13, so Josh Allen’s statistics coming out of Sunday weren’t anything to write home about. Still, he scored two total touchdowns and helped lead his team to a 26-7 victory on the road over the Steelers.

He ranks in the top five in practically every analytical category PFSN uses to evaluate the quarterback position, including net yards per attempt, EPA per dropback at the end of the first half, EPA per designed quarterback run, and EPA per dropback under pressure. It’s been another strong season for the reigning NFL MVP.
