Week 13 of the college football season is going to be one of the most exciting weekends of the year. The playoff picture is starting to take shape, and so every game carries significant weight.
All programs are preparing for their next games, but some are enjoying the Week 13 bye. Let’s see which schools will be resting this week.
Indiana Hoosiers
The Indiana Hoosiers are coming off a 31-7 win over Wisconsin last week. With the win, Curt Cignetti’s squad remains undefeated this season at 11-0 and has grabbed the No. 2 spot in the AP Poll on Sunday, which is one of the highest in Indiana’s history.
The Hoosiers previously reached highs of No. 4 in 1945 and 1967. Cignetti’s squad also ranked as high as No. 5 last year after starting the season 10-0.
The Hoosiers would secure a first-round bye and likely the No. 1 or No. 2 overall seed in the College Football Playoff. They are enjoying a bye this weekend and will host the Purdue Boilermakers on Nov. 28 at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Navy Midshipman
The Navy Midshipmen are fresh off a phenomenal 41-38 win over the USF Bulls and have a record of 8–2 (6–1 in the American Conference) in the 2025 season. Brian Newberry’s squad is first in the American Conference standings.
To secure a College Football Playoff berth, Navy must first win the American Conference. PFSN’s FPM model gives them a 26.6% chance of capturing the conference title and a 13.5% chance of making the playoff this year.
The Midshipmen are on bye this week, and their remaining conference game is against Memphis on Nov. 27, which is 8-3 overall.
Ole Miss Rebels
The Ole Miss Rebels are ranked No. 5 in the AP Poll ranking. With a 10-1 record, the Rebels have moved up one spot from their previous ranking of No. 6 after their 34-24 win against Florida last weekend at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
With the new 12-team playoff format, Lane Kiffin’s team is in a strong position, with PFSN College FPM projecting a 93.7% chance of making the College Football Playoff. Meanwhile, Kiffin has been linked to coaching opportunities at Florida and LSU, but any potential distraction hasn’t shown in the Rebels’ recent performances.
Ole Miss is on bye this week and is preparing for the Egg Bowl against Mississippi State on Nov. 28.
