Sebastian Korda Gets Engaged to Girlfriend Ivana Nedvěd

Korda competed at the inaugural Hellenic Championship at the OAKA Basketball Arena in Athens. In the opening round on Nov. 2, he faced seventh-seeded Alexei Popyrin. He showed resilience by recovering from a first-set loss to secure a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory. Two days later, against Damir Džumhur, Korda again dropped the opening set before rallying to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 and advance to the quarterfinals.

On Nov. 6, Korda delivered his strongest performance when facing Miomir Kecmanović, winning convincingly 6-3, 6-2 with improved control and consistency. However, his tournament run ended in the semifinals against second-seeded Lorenzo Musetti, who proved too strong and won 6-0, 5-7, 7-5. Despite the loss, Korda’s performances showcased his return to competitive tennis following injuries he had dealt with earlier in the season.

Following his Athens campaign, Korda announced his engagement through Instagram, sharing romantic photographs alongside Nedvěd, which generated considerable support from the tennis community and their followers worldwide. The caption of the post read, “Forever and then some 🤍” with Nedvěd showing off her engagement ring.

Korda and Nedvěd first made their relationship public in 2021. Their initial significant public appearance together took place at the Emilia-Romagna Open in Parma that same year, which held special significance as Korda won his first ATP Tour singles title at the tournament. He defeated Marco Cecchinato in the final without dropping a set, and Nedvěd was present to celebrate this career milestone.

The couple has maintained privacy throughout their relationship. At the same time, Nedved has become a regular presence at Korda’s matches across major tournaments, including the Australian Open, Monte Carlo Masters, Indian Wells, and the French Open. Korda has spoken positively about their partnership in interviews, emphasizing how Nedved’s understanding of professional sports makes her an ideal companion.

Nedvěd was born in Italy in 1997 and is the daughter of Pavel Nedvěd, one of the Czech Republic’s greatest soccer players. Pavel Nedvěd won the prestigious Ballon d’Or in 2003, becoming the second Czech player to receive this honor, and had a legendary career with Italian clubs Lazio and Juventus.
