Saints Legend Drew Brees Announces Major Post-NFL Career Move

As soon as New Orleans Saints legend Drew Brees retired from football, it was clear his time away from the game wouldn’t last long.

As soon as New Orleans Saints legend Drew Brees retired from football, his time away from the game was never going to be long. Brees was always slated to be around the NFL, and although his first stint did not work out, the future Hall of Famer is back in the press box.

After retiring in 2020 as one of, if not the best, QBs to ever play football, Brees joined NBC Sports as an announcer. This was short-lived because Brees’ performances in the booth did not meet the company’s standards. However, since then, he has joined ESPN and Fox as a guest analyst and was scheduled to call one of the 2025 Christmas games on Netflix. Now, the legendary QB has found a new long-term home, and this time, it should be much better.

What is This New Career Opportunity for Saints Legend Drew Brees?

According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Brees will join Fox Sports as an analyst and will serve as a game commentator.

This is a massive move for the Saints legend, and one of the best football minds in the world has gotten a second chance in the booth. As a QB, Brees was known for his ability to pick apart defenses with his accuracy and completely demolish any plan an opposing defensive coordinator had for the dynamic Saints offense. Brees’ knowledge of the NFL is among the best of all time, so hearing this every week will be a treat for any fan.

Hopefully, this time in the booth, Brees will perform better and bounce back after his first go-around. Fox Sports’ new group, featuring Greg Olsen, Tom Brady, and Brees, is now one of the best collectives of commentators in sports.
