NFL Inactives Tonight: Ravens-Dolphins Injury Report, Latest on Lamar Jackson and Darren Waller, Starting Lineups for TNF

Who is on the injured list and who is starting when the Baltimore Ravens take on the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football in Week 9?

After weeks of speculation, confirmations, and changing injury designations, the Baltimore Ravens are finally getting their superstar quarterback and two-time MVP, Lamar Jackson, back on the field. For a team sitting at 2-5 with Super Bowl aspirations, his return could not come at a better time.

However, standing in their path is a Miami Dolphins team that has nothing to lose and is coming off its second victory of the season in Week 8. With two teams that started with high hopes but have delivered low performance facing off, who will be available, and who is on the inactive list?

It is hard to imagine that the Dolphins have much left to fight for. Star receiver Tyreek Hill is done for the season, their lone bright spot in a resurgent Darren Waller is on injured reserve, and fans seem to be writing obituaries for the quarterback and head coach every week.

This is an impossibly challenging scenario for the franchise, but after hitting rock bottom, there are very few ways for them to go but up. Even though this year looks like a bust, the Dolphins could still play spoiler and throw a wrench in their opponents’ plans, especially as Jackson returns from injury.

It might be a rarity in the NFL, but all 53 active members of the Baltimore roster are coming into this game healthy. For a team that started behind the proverbial eight-ball with a 2-5 record, there could be no better news.

On the other hand, facing one of the worst teams in the league, one that appears to be on the brink of collapse, is perhaps the worst spot imaginable for the Ravens. The sole focus of the game will be on defense.

After back-to-back strong outings against the Los Angeles Rams and the Chicago Bears, it will be interesting to see how the unit fares against Miami, especially after ranking dead last in the league on PFSN’s Defense Impact metric.
