After nearly four months away from the court, Dimitrov made his 13th appearance at the ATP Masters 1000 in Paris, where he had finished as runner-up in 2023. Returning to competition at the La Défense Arena, he opened his campaign with a 7-6(5), 6-1 win over Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.

His girlfriend González was by his side in the stadium as he made his Paris return. She took to her Instagram stories to share a clip of Dimitrov’s entrance in the arena with firecracker emojis. She also shared a clip of Dimitrov’s stunning point against Perricard during his breadstick victory and captioned it, “Warrior 💪”.
‘Breadstick’ in tennis is a slang term for winning a set with a score of 6-1.

Dimitrov and González reportedly started dating in early 2025. Their relationship went public in April when the actress was spotted supporting him at the Madrid Open. A month later, in May, the couple confirmed their romance by making it official on Instagram. Since then, the pair have been seen together at high-profile events, including the Cannes Film Festival and Milan Fashion Week.
Looking ahead, the Bulgarian has advanced to the second round, where he will take on either Jaume Munar or 11th seed Daniil Medvedev. Dimitrov is also set to play with his partner, Nicolas Mahut, in the doubles event. Their first-round opponents will be Hugo Nys and Édouard Roger-Vasselin.
