Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is one of the most trusted pass catchers on the team for quarterback Dak Prescott. Lamb has a wonderful ability to get loose downfield from cornerbacks or safeties when he needs to do so.
Yet, on Sunday in Denver, Lamb has been somewhat quiet as the Broncos held a 27-10 halftime lead.
What’s Wrong With Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb?
As the game hit halftime, Lamb had only two catches for 35 yards and no touchdowns.
Lamb, while on the field, has shown an ability to leave a defender looking to find him in the secondary. At this time, it does not appear that Lamb is injured.

Lamb showed his escape work on the field in the above video. Earlier, Broncos cornerback Riley Moss made a play against the Cowboys star to keep him from hauling in a pass at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium.
Lamb was a first-round draft choice (No. 17 overall) for the Cowboys out of Oklahoma in the 2020 NFL Draft. For the season entering Sunday’s game in Denver, Lamb had 21 catches for 332 yards and one touchdown reception. He’s averaging 15.8 yards per catch for Dallas, too.
According to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Cowboys have an 89.3 Offense Impact Score and grade out to a B+. The Cowboys are looking to have first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer and first-year offensive coordinator Klayton Adams improve their work when they have the ball.
Dallas entered Sunday’s game against Denver with a 3-3-1 record and is in second place in the NFC East Division. The Cowboys only have 152 total yards of offense in the first half against a tough Denver defense. Dallas only had 91 yards passing in the first half, something that Schottenheimer and his coaches probably want to see rising against the Broncos.
In his sixth NFL season, all with the Cowboys, Lamb has 517 catches entering Sunday’s game for 6,671 total yards. Lamb has 39 career TDs with his longest reception being a 92-yarder back in the 2023 season for the Cowboys. Speaking of 2023, in that season alone, Lamb pocketed 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Lamb has four 1,000-plus yardage seasons to his credit as well. He averages 12.9 yards per catch in his career, too. Lamb’s ability to squeeze extra yardage after catches makes him quite valuable. The Cowboys hope that their star WR can pick this pace up in the second half against Denver.
