Coco Gauff’s boyfriend, Jalen Sera, has shared an adorable photo of the two on social media, giving fans a rare glimpse into their affectionate relationship. The post also gained attention for the charming Spanish-language exchange that followed in the comments.
What Did Coco Gauff and Jalen Sera Say in Their Sweet Social Media Exchange?
Sera, a musician and aspiring actor from Atlanta, Georgia, has been a steady presence in Gauff’s life since 2023. Their story is as endearing as it is unexpected. Gauff’s mother, Candi, was once Sera’s fourth-grade teacher.
Over time, that bond blossomed into a romance that Gauff officially acknowledged earlier this year when she celebrated their second anniversary. Beyond the spotlight, she has often spoken about Sera’s positive influence, crediting him for keeping her grounded amid the intense demands of professional tennis.
In his latest Instagram carousel, Sera shared a collection of moments from his life, but one particular selfie with Gauff stood out. The two were leaning into the frame. He captioned the post “vivendo,” the Portuguese word for “living.”

The post drew an affectionate comment from Gauff herself, who wrote, “viviendo la vida contigo >>>>,” which translates to “living life with you.” In response, Sera playfully replied, “si si si.”

All Eyes on Gauff as She Marches Toward Her Next WTA Stop
Gauff recently wrapped up her Wuhan Open run, capturing her 11th career title. The No. 3 seed breezed through the tournament without dropping a single set. After receiving a first-round bye, she dismantled Moyuka Uchijima 6-1, 6-0, home favorite Zhang Shuai 6-3, 6-2, Laura Siegemund 6-3, 6-0, and seventh seed Jasmine Paolini 6-4, 6-3 en route to the final.
Facing close friend and former doubles partner Jessica Pegula in the final, Gauff came back from 0-3 down in the second set to prevail 6-4, 7-5, securing her second title of the season.
The 21-year-old will now turn her attention to the upcoming WTA Finals, set to begin on Nov. 1. At last year’s edition, Gauff clinched the championship after overcoming Zheng Qinwen 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(2) in the final.
This will mark Gauff’s fourth appearance at the season-ending WTA Finals. She secured her qualification on Sept. 30, joining Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Świątek in the elite field. Since then, the lineup has grown to include Amanda Anisimova, Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula and Jasmine Paolini, while the final spot remains open for contenders such as Mirra Andreeva and Elena Rybakina.
